Hossein Amir Abdollahian, a senior foreign policy advisor to the parliament speaker, on Thursday compared the recent “public” visit by Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani to Afghanistan with Trump’s “secret” visit to Iraq, saying the two trips show the reality of the U.S. and Iran.
“Admiral Shamkhani, Iran’s top security chief, paid preannounced visit to less secure Afghanistan. Simultaneously, #Trump, Commander-in-Chief and US President, paid clandestine visit to more secure Baghdad & joined US army for some minutes. This is the reality of #Iran & #America!” Amir Abdollahian said in a tweet.
