TEHRAN – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi has voiced regret over the deadly crash of an army helicopter in Western Afghanistan, which claimed the lives of all crew members and passengers including several military and government officials.
In a Wednesday statement, Qassemi condoled with the Afghan nation and government over the incident, and offered his sympathy to the bereaved families of the victims, Mehr reported
Farah provincial governor spokesman Nasir Mehri said the aircraft had crashed due to “bad weather” in Anar Dara district, which borders Iran.
However, the Taliban terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the incident, in which both pilots and 23 passengers were killed
