Platform 14C of Iran’s South Pars gas field (in the Persian Gulf), which had been loaded at Sadra industrial yard in the southwestern province of Bushehr on September 1, was installed on its designated offshore spot on Wednesday, Shana reported.
The 2,200-ton structure, which is the second platform of South Pars phase 14 of development, will start operation soon, adding 500 million cubic feet of gas per day to the capacity of the gas field, Public Relations Department of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), which is in charge of implementing development phases of South Pars, reported.
The project for implementing phase 14 has already achieved 82 percent progress, according to the operator of this phase.
Hamidreza Masoudi also said that phase 14 enjoys the most Iranian technical and engineering capabilities among the similar projects.
