On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Iran-Japan relations, ‘Iranian Film Festival in Tokyo’ will start on August 7 for three days in Japan’s capital.
Mainly organized by Iran’s cultural attaché in Japan, the event will screen seven Iranian movies, documentaries and animations.
Dramas including ‘Season of Narges’, ‘Delbari’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Where Are My Shoes?’ and ‘Mermaid’, the animated feature of ‘Mobarak’ and also ‘The Eastern’ documentary will be screened in this festival.
The officials of the two countries have always emphasized the need to enhance bilateral ties in different domains, including that of culture. On July 9, the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas had a meeting with Japanese ambassador to Iran Hiroyasu Kobayashi where the two sides hailed increased bilateral ties in cultural domains.
Touching upon the potentials of Iran in cinema, music, visual arts and dramatic literature disciplines, the Iranian minister highlighted that increased cultural ties will prepare the grounds for further introducing civilizations of two nations to each other.
