TEHRAN – Iran’s scientific and technology vice presidency plans to support startups and innovation accelerator in near future, the vice president for scientific and technology Sourena Sattari said on Monday, IRNA reported.
He made the remarks during his visit to 24th Iran International Exhibition of Electronics, Computer & E-commerce (ELECOMP 2018), which was held from July 28 to 31 in Tehran.
Startups and accelerators are important part of knowledge-based economy, he added.
The participation of startups at the ELECOMP is very promising, Sattari said.
“We seek dynamism in startup ecosystem of Iran,” he added.
He highlighted the usage of knowledge-based products to as an important activity to support startups.
ELECOMP is the biggest event in the Iranian electronics and computer market. Since its first edition in 1995, the event has been providing a unique opportunity for businesses to increase their share of this huge and ever-growing market.
