Title-holder Iran continued its winning streak in the 6th AVC Cup for Men to secure the first semi-final berth after downing Vietnam on Saturday.
Iran Swept past Vietnamese in comfortable three-setter (25-19, 25-14, 25-19) on day 4 of the competition at the University of Taipei (Tianmu) Gymnasium.
Iran troubled Vietnam with its advantage in high blocking and thundering attacking.
Porya Yali, led Iran with 16 points including 14 attacks from 28 attempts, while captain Amirhossein Esfandiar chipped in with 16 points as well.
With this comfortable win, Iran became the first team to secure the semi-final berth.
It will take a two-day rest before contesting the semi-final on Tuesday.
