The Director General of Kermanshah Customs Administration Khalil Heydari revealed the considerable 89% rise in imports from provincial borders in the first four months of the current year (March 21-July 21).

About 6,558 tons of commodities worth $10,596,543, were imported into the western province of Kermanshah during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), registering a 44% and 89% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.

He pointed to the total products imported into Kermanshah province from 10 countries, saying “exporting 571 tons of commodities worth $3,279,248, China stands at first place importing products into the customs office of this province in the same period, followed by Italy and Turkey.”

Statistics show that 324 tons of products worth $2,130,311, were exported from Italy to the provincial customs office in the same period.

Moreover, 768 tons of products, valued at $1,419,509, were imported from neighboring Turkey into the provincial customs office in the same period.
