TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani has set a deadline of 15 days for Industry and Trade Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari to provide him with the names of the people who have illegally imported vehicles into the country.
The order came after head of the Trade Promotion Organization declared that 6,400 vehicles were imported last year during the time when no import order registration was allowed.
Rouhani stressed the necessity of transparency in order to fight corruption, adding that the offenders’ names must be published to the general public.
