TEHRAN – Iran defeated Kazakhstan 88-56 in FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers and advanced to the second round of the Asian Qualifiers.
The match was held in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in Group D.
The next phase will consist of 12 teams in two groups of six teams.
The top three teams in each group along with the better placed fourth team will qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The second round begins in September 2018.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be held in China from August 31 to September 15.
