Iranian Foreign Minister’s Special Assistant for Political Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari met with President of Lebanon Michel Aoun on Monday.
The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, development of bilateral ties as well as regional issues.
Jaberi Ansari also held talks with Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem and Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad on bilateral coordination and consultation to counter plots targeting the stability of Syria and the region.
Jaberi Ansari left Iran for Syria on Sunday to convey the message of President Rouhani to his Syrian counterpart and Syrian foreign minister. The senior official left Damascus for Beirut on the same day, winding up his day-long visit to Syria.
