Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told the media that to escape US-pressures, Turkey is determined to establish new trade relations with some countries including Iran using national currencies.
“The solution is trading with national currency,” said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan when questioned by media people on what Turkey’s plan is to deal with US-posed pressures.
He made the remarks answering journalists’ questions when returning from the NATO Summit in Brussels.
He was also questioned how he saw the transition in Syrian crisis and NATO approach toward the issue.
Erdogan told the media that he had urged Macron and Merkel to be united in terms of dealing with Syrian crisis as around 200,000 refugees are still crossing borders between Turkey and Syria.
He also recounted that a right choice has be made about the future of Syria and Iran, Russia, and Turkey are working on the decisions about the future in Syria. “Iran, Russia, and Turkey always work together to be able to pick the best choice for the people of Syria,” he said.
He also affirmed that the next trilateral summit of guarantor states will be held in Tehran in the near future, but the date has not been set yet. “After Sochi and Ankara, now it is the time to meet in Tehran.”
Mr. Erdogan also told the news people that Trump and Putin will meet in Helsinki on Monday and he would have a phone conversation afterward with Russian President Putin.
