Concurrent with the holding of the 14th biannual friendship conference of Iran and Oman in Tehran, two Omani warships will dock at Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas on Tuesday.
The Omani squad is also accompanied by a helicopter slated to land in Bandar Abbas- a port city which occupies a strategic position on the narrow Strait of Hormuz, and homes the main base of the Iranian Navy.
The friendship conference of Iran and Oman is held every two years in Tehran and Muscat.
Iran and Oman are enjoying traditional good ties as the kingdom hold more moderate approaches than UAE and Saudi Arabia in issues related to the Persian Gulf and the Middle East.
