Iran’s Esteghlal are going to maintain its lead at top of Group D when the team faces Al Ain of the UAE on Tuesday in Matchday Three of the AFC Champions League.
Esteghlal moved two points clear at the top of group following their 1-0 win over Al Hilal two weeks ago.
The Iranian giant also drew 2-2 with Al Rayyan in its first match.
The Emirati side has drawn each of its first two games against Al Rayyan and Al Hilal, and will be seeking a first three points in front of home support.
After seeing off Uzbekistan’s Lokomotiv 2-0 in Isfahan, Zob Ahan is going to earn back-to-back home wins in Group B in Foolad Shahr Stadium.
Zob Ahan will face Al Wahda, in the knowledge that victory would put the team in a strong position at the midway point of the group stage.
Opponent Al Wahda has endured a disappointing start to its campaign, having lost its first two games, and will hope for an upturn of fortunes in Isfahan.
