According to Tunisian media reports, Tunis will host Iran on March 23 at Stade Hedi Ennaifer in Le Bardo, west of Tunis.

Iran will play Tunisia because of similarity of the team with Morocco.

Carlos Queiroz’s team have been drawn in the 2018 World Cup Group B along with Spain, Morocco and Portugal.

Team Melli will open the campaign with a match against African powerhouse Morocco at Saint Petersburg on June 15.

The Persians, meanwhile, face Spain in Kazan on 20 June before meeting Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal in Saransk five days later.

Iran will also face Algeria as part of perpetration for the World Cup.
