TEHRAN – Iran’s prosecutor general announced on Saturday that the Judiciary is investigating the cases of some authorities’ involvement in smuggling of goods.
Mohammad Jafar Montazeri also said he will talk about the issue in details very soon.
Days ago, Montazeri announced that the fight against goods smuggling would not be effective as long as some “authorities or their close relatives” are somehow involved in it.
Warning against the damaging consequences of smuggled goods for the economy, he said a strong will is needed to fight smuggling.
