TEHRAN – The Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps are ramping up efforts for closer coordination in line with national defense strategies and boosting military capabilities including upgrading missile deterrence, IRNA reported.
In a meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari and Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi stressed the need to develop military power in land, sea, and air.
They also stressed the significant role that the IRGC and the Army played in providing disaster relief aid for the people in the western province of Kermanshah after a recent devastating earthquake.
