TEHRAN – Farzan Ashourzadeh from Iran claimed a silver medal at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix on Saturday.
Ashourzadeh lost to South Korean Kim Tae-hun 14-2 in the final match of the -58kg weight class.
Iran’s Armin Hadipour was knocked out of the competition in this weight class.
The bronze medal went to Spaniard Jesus Tortosa, who defeated Mikhail Artamanov from Russia.
The 2017 World Taekwondo Grand Prix is the 5th edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix series.
The prestigious competition has brought 106 athletes together in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on Dec.2-3.
