TEHRAN – Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed while escaping from Sana’a, the capital city of Yemen.
He was escaping from Sana’a with an armored vehicle, when the Yemen’s Houthis killed him, along with his VP Aref Zoka and the secretary general of the National Congress Party Yaser al-Awazi.
Other reports published in Reuters Twitter say that Yemen’s Houthis blew up the house of ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh in the center of the capital Sana’a on Monday.
Russia Today, quoting its correspondent, said Saleh may have been at the permanent headquarter of the General People’s Congress in Sana’a where he has been killed.
