TEHRAN – The Paris-based Iranian painter Raheleh Roshandel has mobilized groups of Iranian expatriates in Paris as well as a number of French citizens to provide support for the Kermanshah quake relief efforts.
A friend of Roshandel’s, who wished to remain anonymous, agreed to pack and deliver supplies to the Red Crescent in Tehran.
Roshandel displayed her collection “Iranian Goats”, tracing the place of the animal in the history of Iranian culture, in an exhibition at Tehran’s Shokuh Gallery in mid-July.
A devastating earthquake killed hundreds and displaced thousands in the western Iranian province of Kermanshah about two weeks ago.
