World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) has officially invited Iran’s referee couple to judge at pre-Grand Slam qualification tournament to convene in Wuxi, China.

The qualification event for the first edition of the Grand Slam series is slated to kick off on November 22 in the Chinese city of Wuxi where sixteen Iranian taekwondoka will face rivals in Men’s and Women’s divisions.

Accordingly, the international federation governing the sport of taekwondo has invited two Iranian referees to officiate at the international sportive tournament. Shahram Arbabai and Mohsen Davarani are two Iranian referee couple who will take part at the pre-Grand Slam event.

The top three athletes in each weight category will be awarded with sluts at the first edition of the Grand Slam series, featuring eight tournaments, which will kick off at the end of 2017 and continue through early 2018 in Wuxi, China.

Taekwondo practitioners who win medals at Grand Slam series will also receive prize money.
