TEHRAN– An Iranian parliamentary delegation headed by Alaeddin Boroujerdi will visit Ukraine’s capital Kiev on November 13, an Iranian MP said Thursday.
According to MP Mohammad Javad Jamali, the Iranian delegation slated for the Ukraine visit will be headed by Chairman of Iran’s Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, and comprise a number of other members from the security commission.
Developing bilateral and parliamentary ties, boosting economic cooperation between the two countries, and strengthening trade, political and cultural relations are among the key objectives of this visit.
“The improvement of Iran-Ukraine relations as two major and influential countries will benefit the two nations,” Jamali stressed.
He went on to add that the Iranian delegation will also discuss with Ukrainian officials the recent developments in the region during the Monday visit.
