TEHRAN – The organizers of Iran’s Cinema Verite have invited two more executives of international events to attend the 11th edition of the documentary film festival.
The program director of the Parisian festival of the Cinema du Reel, Carine Bernasconi, and the director of the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (YIDFF) in Tokyo, Asako Fujioka, will join many other officials and professionals to take part in the festival, the organizers announced on Tuesday.
Bernasconi is also the director of film market of Visions du Reel, a renowned documentary film festival in Nyon, Switzerland.
Fujioka and Bernasconi are expected to visit the film market on different dates and hold panel discussions on world documentary festivals.
In addition, Fujioka will hold workshops on the subject of “Joint Productions and Fund” on December 11 and 12.
Since 2006 Fujioka has been a member of a selection committee and an advisor for the Asian Network of Documentary Fund at the Pusan International Film Festival.
The Documentary and Experimental Film Center is the organizer of the Cinema Verite festival, which will be held in Tehran from December 10 to 17.
