The 24th International Children & Youth Theater Festival, slated for early December in Hamedan, capital of Hamedan Province, has so far received 120 foreign entries.
Secretary of the festival, theater actress and director Maryam Kazemi, said the works have been submitted from New Zealand, Denmark, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan Republic, Turkey and Italy among others.
“The works are yet to be evaluated,” Kazemi told Mehr News Agency. “We’re currently negotiating with some of the (potential) participating theater groups. A preliminary schedule for a number of selected plays has been prepared. This year, we expect a good deal of diversity from among the foreign works.”
