TEHRAN– The 2017 Highly Cited Researchers List recently released by Clarivate Analytics has named seven Iranians among the world’s most impactful scientific researchers.
Clarivate Analytics, the global leader in trusted insights and analytics that accelerate the pace of innovation, has released its publication of its annual Highly Cited Researchers list among which are the names of seven Iranians as the world’s most impactful scientific researchers.
The citation analysis identifies authors who have consistently won peer approval from international researchers in the form of high citation counts.
More than 3,300 Highly Cited Researchers in 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences, and 130,000 papers aligned to 900 institutions were selected this year.
The Iranian researchers whose names have been included in the 2017 Highly Cited Researchers List are: Ali Kaveh (Computer Science), Mehdi Dehghan (Mathematics), Davoud Ganji (Engineering), Mohsen Sheikholeslami (Engineering), Taher Niknam (Engineering), Mofid Gorji-Bandpy (Engineering) and Shahram Rezapour (Mathematics).
The 2016 edition of the list included six Iranians among the world’s most impactful scientific researchers.
According to the list, the US fields the highest number of authors, followed by the UK and China.
