TEHRAN– Iranian animated short ‘Pet Man’, directed by Marzieh Abrar Paidar, made it to the list of top 10 animations by Innsbruck Nature Film Festival.
The 16th edition of international film competition on nature and environment will run through October 10 to 13 in Austria. ‘Pet Man’ by Marzieh Abrar Paidar will be screened as one of the top ten animations chosen by the festival. The select films are the products of seven countries which include Austria, Iran, Germany, France, Netherlands, Croatia and Switzerland.
Prior to this, ‘Pet Man’ won the award for best animated film in the third NEZ International Film Festival in India. In addition, it’s been nominated in the 10th International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival which is slated for October 23-29, 2017. Besides securing a place in the list of top 15 short animations by Britain’s Canterbury Festival, the film has been screened in Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival.
‘Pet Man’ unfolds the story of an animal seller who sees a horrific nightmare in which he is captivated into an animal cage. His efforts to escape from the animals seem useless as he is faced with an obstacle every time.
