TEHRAN- In a meeting with Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Masoud Karbasian, Malaysia’s Minister of Finance Johari Abdul Ghani announced that he will lead an economic delegation to Iran in early 2018, Shada news agency reported on Monday.
During the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the 2017 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, the Malaysian minister expressed content about the held talks over construction of a subway line in Iran by Malaysian companies and called for further bilateral ties in various economic sectors.
Karbasian, for his part, noted that economic relation between Iran and Malaysia is not at a favorable level and regarding their warm political relations, he called for more economic bonds between the two sides.
