TEHRAN – Two Iranian films have won awards at the Zero Plus International Film Festival in Russia.
“Chocolate” by director Mehdi Heidari received the award for best film in the short fiction film category, the organizers have announced.
“The Mystery of Persian Carpets” (“Suzangerd”) by Masumeh Nurmohammadi won the special prize in the popular scientific film section.
“The Mystery of Persian Carpets” is about a special Iranian carpet that is used during the Gion festival in Kyoto, Japan.
The Zero Plus International Film Festival was held in the Russian city of Tyumen from September 30 to October 7.
