Olympic champion and four-time World champion Jordan Burroughs will likely join Iranian wrestling club Bimeh Razi, team’s manager, Kiumars Mehrabi, said.
There is no place Burroughs enjoys competing more than wrestling-crazed Iran. The passion of the fans and level of competition is unmatched anywhere in the world.
According to Mehrabi, the Iranian team has reached an initial agreement with the American wrestler.
“We hope that Burroughs will represent Bimeh Razi in the World Wrestling Clubs Cup. Burroughs likes Iran very well and we are sure that he will receive a warm welcome when he arrives in our country,” Mehrabi told Iran Students News Agency (ISNA).
Bimeh Razi has also reportedly reached agreement with Russian freestylers Zaur Uguev in 54kg weight category and Khetik Tsabolov in 74kg.
