Acclaimed painter, caricaturist, illustrator, sculptor and animator Mohammad Ali Baniasadi, 62, will showcase a selection of his paintings at Sareban Art Gallery in Tehran.
The exhibition will open on Oct. 27 and run for 10 days from 4-8 p.m. The gallery is open to the public, except on Tuesdays.
It is located at No. 130, West Huwayzeh Street, North Sohrevardi Street, according to Tandis online magazine of visual art.
Since 1986, Baniasadi has illustrated more than 80 books for children and young adults. He designed the stamp commemorating the 1990 International Children’s Book Day.
Baniasadi’s work is distinctive in using signs and symbols from Iranian and Islamic culture not only as decorative elements, but also as integral parts of his compositions.
