TEHRAN – Hundreds of students yesterday rallied in front of the UN office in Tehran to protest at the Myanmar government genocide against Rohingya Muslims.
According to the public relations of the Union of the Islamic Associations of the Pupils, several members of the union as well as other groups of students staged a protest gathering in front of the UN office in Tehran to condemn the atrocities of Myanmar government against Rohingya Muslims.
Secretary General of the union Mr. Hamed Alamati was among the protesters and delivered a speech for the protesters.
In his speech, he pointed to the displacing of Rohingya Muslims and genocide against them by Myanmar government which hurts any freedom-seeking man but those who support the human rights are silent and indifferent to such horrible atrocities.
Alamati added that plot against Muslims this time in Myanmar shows that war against Islam is still pursued by western and eastern extremists by resorting to a new scenario.
He blasted the human rights bodies for their silence, adding that their indifference will lead to horrible disaster. He went on to say that the international bodies are better to take action against such inhuman violence rather than issuing statements against Iran and accusing it of meddling in other countries’ affairs.
Alamati also criticized the Nobel Foundation for awarding nobel prize to the murderers and urged to take back the Noble Prize from Aung San Suu Kyi who is one of the masterminds of the recent genocide against Rohingya Muslims.
He also called Iran’s government to push for more international pressure on the genocide and Myanmar government. He also slammed the leaders of the Islamic states for their indifference to the current violence against Muslims in Myanmar.
Alamati said Iranian revolutionary nation as before will defend innocent nations and it has proved that Islamic Revolution has not limited to ethnic, religion and nationalism and it is opposed to the massacre of innocent people.
