Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani told his Syrian counterpart that the ISIL is near its end.
“The successive victories over Takfirist terrorists in Iraq and Syria along with liberation of important and strategic areas prove that there is remaining a short path to complete defeat of ISIL and its international allies,” asserted Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani, in a message to Director of the Syrian National Security Bureau, General Ali Mamlouk.
Shamkhani sent the message on the occasion of recent victories of the Syrian forces around the city of Deir ez-Zor, offering greetings to the people, army, government, and security forces of Syria who are in war with terrorism.
“The serial victories in war on terror promises a bright future with security and stability,” highlighted the Iranian commander, who also serves as a senior advisor to Iran’s Leader.
He emphasized that liberating Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor, Mosul, and Tal Afar marks the end of ISIL. Shamkhani affirmed that with the full liberation of all cities and areas it would not take a long time to see the complete defeat of ISIL and its supporters.
“Active, real, and close cooperation, between Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Russia along with Lebanon’s Hezbollah has yielded in vast accomplishments in the war against the ISIL and terrorism,” articulated the Iranian senior security official. He attributed the failure of anti-region plots to this cooperation. According to Shamkhani, there are some cross-regional players who are after destabilizing and putting the countries of region in danger.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to wishing more success for the Syrians, will continue its agenda of helping the poor war-hit people in Syria, providing field advice, and supporting the reconstruction of the ruined cities.
