The first International Art Festival for Persian Speakers in Europe, slated for January 2018 in Paris, has selected the humorist couple, Mehrab Qasemkhani and Shaghayegh Dehghan as the jury for the stand-up comedy section.
Those interested can submit at most five two-minute recordings to the festival. Decided by the jury, only 20 videos will be selected and their creators will be invited to attend the training courses to get ready for the final competition, Honaronline reported.
The festival, aimed at introducing and promoting Persian culture and the arts across continents, covers a wide range of Persian artistic and cultural works including literature, photography, visual arts, cartoon and stand-up comedy.
It is sponsored by the Persiana Cultural and Artistic Society based in Paris that has recently embarked on a series of initiatives to help introduce ancient Persian art and culture to the world.
