<p>He replaced Abbas Aghakouchaki who led the team in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.</p>
<p>Iran finished in ninth place in the 12-team event under leadership of Aghakouchaki.</p>
<p>Fallah was Maziar Mirazimi’s assistant in the 2019 Asia Oceania Championship held in Thailand.</p>
<p>Iran booked a berth in the Tokyo 2020 by winning a bronze in the competition.</p>

<p>According To <a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>, Iran’s men’s wheelchair basketball team defeated South Korean team at the IWBF Asia Oceania Championships in Pattaya, Thailand on Wednesday.</p>
<p>The Iranian wheelchair basketball team took on South Korea in their fifth match at the IWBF Asia Oceania Championships in Pattaya, Thailand on Wednesday and won 75 to 63.</p>
<p>This was Iran&#8217;s third win in the championships. They had beaten China and the hosts Thailand while they lost to Japan and Australia.</p>
<p>The Iranian women’s wheelchair basketball team are also taking part in the IWBF Asia Oceania Championships along with seven other women&#8217;s teams while 14 men&#8217;s teams are competing in the men&#8217;s division.</p>

<p>According To <a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>, Iran’s men’s team made a winning start to the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Asia Oceania Championships in Pattaya, Thailand by overcoming China.</p>
<p>The Iranian team secured a narrow 64-60 victory against China thanks to Morteza Abedi who scored 27 points.</p>
<p>Iran is scheduled to play Japan tomorrow.</p>
<p>Iran’s women’s team also eased past Cambodia 40-22 in its opening match and will play India on Monday.</p>
<p>The competition has four spots available for men and three for women at Tokyo 2020, with one spot in each already allocated to Japan as the host nation.</p>
<p>The games have brought 14 men’s teams and eight women’s teams together.</p>

<p>The event took place in Tokyo between August 29 to September 1 with four teams of Iran, Japan, Australia, and South Korea attending in men’s competition.</p>
<p>The four teams competed in a round-robin format in the first round. The Iranian team overpowered Australia 75-62 on Thursday, then defeated South Korea 76-59 on Friday , before suffering a 63-57 defeat to the host, Japan, on Saturday.</p>
<p>Organized by the Japanese Wheelchair Basketball Federation, the tournament was mainly aimed at preparing the teams for Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. It is an international convention that is also positioned as an opportunity for the local residents including children to participate in the Paralympics interests, to activate local communities and legacy, including overseas teams participating in the competition and experiencing during pre-camping in neighboring municipalities, International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) reported.</p>
