November 3: Hatred? No. Rancor of Innocence

Restrictions due to combatting the outbreak of Coronavirus had made observing this year’s National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance, November 3, different with what was in the past. Attention to what the Supreme Leader in his remarks has stated makes completely clear the road of Iranian nation in keeping this cause alive.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

Today Islamic Iran has proved its power either spiritually or materially in the world especially to its enemy number one, the Great Satan. The most important reason to accept this claim is that the Supreme Leader in his remarks says today the U.S. sees the Islamic Republic of Iran standing like a strong and unreachable mountain against it. Of course, Iranian nation has not forgotten how UK and the U.S. and their internal devoted mercenaries have behaved as traitors, with the policy and dignity of the nation during the past century. The Islamic Revolution has been able to create ray of hope in the heart of innocent Iranian nation.

In 1979, exactly 25 years after the unsuccessful 28 Mordad 1332 coup d’état (August 18, 1953 coup d’état in Iran), Muslim Student Followers of the Imam’s Line occupied the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. This event with the approval of the late Great Imam Khomeini (R) turned into a turning point in the relations of both countries, and since then the political and economic relations of Iran with the U.S. have remained severed and even during almost 42 years, it has sometimes led to military confrontations.

Although with August 18 coup the presence of Americans in the country became more colorful, the reason behind this presence dated back to many years before the coup, and it seems with taking those factors into consideration, one can analyze the relations between these two states and the lump hidden in the throat of Iranian nation both in pre and post Islamic Revolution victory eras, and he can find the reasons behind the occupation of the spy den (U.S. Embassy) with appropriate understanding of what has happened to Iran and its people.

Addressing this fact that if the U.S. Embassy was not occupied, what could happen to the confrontation of the people and the U.S., and to the way of penetration and enjoying the penetration power. Who is that does not know after the World War II and since 1945, the U.S. hostility against Iranian people has turned into a program to minimize the British influence and to loot more oil resources of Iran. Before addressing the reason behind the U.S. enmity with Iranian nation, I should answer to this question how the U.S. has turned from a colonial country into an imperialist one.

The U.S. was an introversionist country and was busy with its own domestic disputes but after the World War II and the Cold War ended in favor of the West, it coveted West Asia region (Middle East) and stepped in challenging with Russian and British interests. The most important factor which dragged the U.S. into this region can be summarized in oil and what you understand is the very oil.

If I can dare to say how the U.S. was dragged into the oil and the region, I blame the then Iran Prime Minister Dr. Mosaddeq and his simplistic thinking about the world arrogance. When Mosaddeq was disappointed with the British and Freemasonry, he turned to the U.S., and the U.S. took advantage of the open gate and entered.

The U.S., after Mohammad Reza Pahlavi took power, adopted a special approach towards Iran. Before then, the British used to dominate all rulers and statesmen of Iran but according to the documents, with the beginning of the movement for nationalizing the oil industry, the U.S. tried its efforts to attain its oil interests in Iran. Americans with the intention to enjoy Iran’s oil, which was used by the British, entered Iran and expanded their influence. After this, a serious competition between the U.S. and UK heated up for gaining more profits and interests from Iran’s national resources, and after the August 18 coup, the key turned in favor of joint cooperation between these two states.

Here it is necessary to point to the appointment of Fazlollah Zahedi as Iran Prime Minister. According to the existing and revealed documents, at first the British opposed this appointment because they had imprisoned and exiled Zahedi because of being unreliable but Zahedi was a trusted person of Shah as the kingmaker and for the U.S. as a mercenary.

In 1948 and 1949, implementation of U.S. President Harry Truman’s Point Four Program in Iran began, and political, cultural and economic advisors with American programs arrived in Iran. Hence, a joint commission between Iran and the .U.S. was set up that Zahedi presided it for two to three years. Americans found Zahedi a loyal and trusted person and for this reason after the August 18 coup, they brought him to power. The catastrophe of Iranian people’s innocence and converting the British-Russian colony into the American-British colony introduced Iran as the integrated colony state of the West while people kept this innocence inside themselves and considered this presence as a means for loot of their wealth, and in 1979 Iranians put an end to it. The irreplaceable role of the late Imam Khomeini (R) in directing the country towards putting an end to the U.S. presence in Iran cannot be ever forgotten.

Expulsion from the Region , the Least Punishment for U.S.

In colloquial Persian language there is a common slang equals to English phrase of burning from discomfort or frizzling and it is used in common cultures in the Persian literatures when some piece of meat is put on the pan and some oil is added to it in order to fry, the meat gradually makes sound and this sound is the frizzling. In political dialogues, this expression is used when a government, organization or person suffers a misery and it or he has no way to overcome it and it or he starts crying and making noise and nobody could rush to its or his help. In the past days, the U.S. ruling government has been exactly in the same mode of frizzling.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

Any one of the U.S. officials appeared in the media or TV channels and one could hear them frizzling. They had forgotten to calculate that if they hover and fly with their drones and jet fighters over lands of Iraq and Syria to launch attack and martyr and wound several people who had cleaned the region from the Daesh forces, they will get hit from the point, according to common Tehrani people’s slang, that would make them even forget their God.

If someone says the U.S.’s biggest trauma in the past four decades has been the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, he is not wrong because whenever the Americans reach the fizzling point, suddenly and without any thinking, one can hear the sound of hue and cry from the U.S. rulers by claiming that this is the culture of Iranians who seized their embassy forty years ago and put the stigma on the forehead of the White House in the U.S. history which is irreparable.

That event (seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran) was actually so impressive and big that it led to the collapse of the then U.S. ruling government, led by President Jimmy Carter.

The U.S. government has established its embassy in Baghdad worth over $750m on a 400,000-square-meter land with deploying about 15,000 staff in order to have its dominance over the Middle East region and Iraqi people set on fire some part of the embassy in reaction to the U.S. criminal action against Hashd al-Shaabi forces in Al-Anbar Province.

And now Iraqis, with holding such unique rallies that Iraq had not seen like it before, first dug the grave for the U.S. in Iraq in the mind of any Iraqi and secondly prepared the ground for miserable expulsion of the Yankees.

Actually U.S. President Donald Trump never did think that Hashd al-Shaabi and Iraqi martyr-breeder nation for retaliation put their fingers on the most sensitive and prestigious point of the U.S. It means they first humiliate the U.S. and then expect them to leave the region.

The U.S. rulers’ fizzling reminds us of more than 444 days of captivity of American spies during the U.S. Embassy seizure, and they saw the Iraqi people’s attack and setting their embassy on fire as a rehearsal of what happened in Iran, and they once again, without any thinking, pointed their accusation finger towards Iran.

The Supreme Leader on the auspicious birthday anniversary of Hazrat Zeinab and Nurses Day and during his remarks pointed to the bitter hatred towards Americans in the region especially in Iraq and called setting the embassy on fire was a natural reaction towards the Americans’ crimes.

Pointing to the U.S. President’s claim on blaming Iran for incidents regarding the January 13 assassination in Iraq and threatening Iranian nation the Supreme Leader said, “Such remarks are nonsense and illogical because people of this region hate the U.S. government. We will never lead the country to war, but if others want to threaten our progress, grandeur and dignity, we will stand up to them powerfully.”

Of course, it is not unlikely that Iraqis’ retaliation against the Americans is a copy of the U.S. Embassy seizure in Tehran which happened about forty years ago, accompanied by Jimmy Carter’s disgraceful defeat in the country’s attack at Tabas which was an unforgettable victory for Iranians and martyrdom of Lieutenant Qassem Soleimani might have prepared necessary fuel for expressing their hatred towards the U.S.

In the 20th Century, Iran has disrupted all paper grandeur of the U.S. with its victory of the Islamic Revolution and ousting the Shah. And this is natural that all nations should have learned this way of retaliation against tyranny and manslaughter. And today, Iranian and Iraqi nations have shown to the world that any act has its own reaction.

Today Iraqi nation by holding massive rallies warned the region that any action has its own natural reaction and if they kill in Al-Anbar Province or assassinate in Baghdad, Iraqis can put on fire their fake grandeur in their centers of power and they will kick them out of the country and the region.

In fact, the time of hit and run is over and according to the Supreme Leader, “if you strike, you will receive ten strikes back.”

Leader Slams U.S. Attacks on Iraq’s PMU

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has strongly condemned the deadly American air raids that targeted the positions of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), better known as Hashd al-Sha’abi, saying Washington is in fact taking revenge on the popular forces because of the key role they played in defeating the Daesh terror group.

According To Iran News, “You are witnessing what they [the Americans] are doing in Iraq and Syria. They are taking revenge on Hashd al-Sha’abi because it paralyzed and [eventually] eliminated Daesh, which they [the Americans] had created and nurtured,” the Leader said at a meeting on Wednesday.

Ayatollah Khamenei said, “I myself, the government and the nation of Iran condemn the US malevolence in the strongest of terms.”

The Leader made the remarks in reference to the latest U.S. military aggression, which has drawn a wave of damning reactions from officials and movements across the region, and triggered furious public protests outside the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad on Tuesday.

As many as 31 fighters from the popular forces lost their lives and dozens more sustained injuries in the U.S. airstrikes that targeted their bases in Anbar Province, in western Iraq, near Syria’s border, late Sunday.

Ayatollah Khamenei further responded to a tweet by Donald Trump, in which the US president threatened that “Iran will be held fully responsible for lives lost, or damage incurred, at any of our facilities. They will pay a very BIG PRICE!”

“For one thing, you are damned wrong because this matter has nothing to do with Iran. And for another, you ought to be reasonable and try to understand what the root causes of these incidents are,” adding, however, that the Americans are far from being sensible.

“The Americans must realize how the regional people, including those in Iraq and Afghanistan, hate them for the crimes they have perpetrated, and that this hatred would eventually seep out somewhere,” Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out.

The Leader went on to say, “If Iran decides to confront a country, it will do so openly. But everyone must know that we are strongly committed to the country’s interests and the Iranian nation’s dignity, grandeur and progress, and we shall not hesitate to intervene and deal a blow to any party who attempts to pose a threat to the country.”

Ayatollah Khamenei described the Iranian nation as being “courageous, vigilant and ready for action on all fronts.”

“Contrary to certain propositions that a war would break out, we shall never drive the country in the direction of war. However, if others attempt to impose anything on our country, we shall stand against them with all our might.”

The Leader provided examples of U.S. misbehavior, which have given rise to widespread anti-American sentiment and anger in the region, including the atrocities committed by infamous private military company Blackwater in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the massacre of thousands of Iraqi civilians and scientists.

Ayatollah Khamenei also pointed to the visits paid by American officials to certain regional states without advance notice or proper authorization from the relevant governments as an example of the US disdainful behavior towards regional nations.

Ayatollah Khamenei also commented on the violent riots that hit several Iranian cities in mid-November on the back of a series of popular protests over a government decision to increase fuel prices.

The Leader said the people had some demands, but that the enemy quickly intervened to take advantage of those demands and commit acts of vandalism.

The people’s vigilance came to light when they broke ranks with the rioters, who were trying to hide behind ordinary protesters.

“The main culprits of the mid-November riots and the attacks on infrastructure such as gasoline storage sites, wheat warehouses and public property were linked to foreign intelligence agencies,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

On the first day of the riots, the Leader added, the Americans jumped for joy, but they became disappointed shortly afterwards as the riots came to end and they failed to achieve what they wanted.

40th Humiliation on Day of Allah Nov.4

1979 was a turbulent year for establishment of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. An Iranian delegation, led by the then Prime Minister Mehdi Bazargan and accompanied by Dr. Ebrahim Yazdi and martyr Mostafa Chamran, in the late October of 1979, had a meeting with the U.S. President’s National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski in Algeria. The meeting was to be secret one but the late Sadeq Tabatabaei who was the insider of Ahmad Khomeini in the interim government revealed it and its details that the U.S. was after restoring ties with Iran, reiterating that the U.S. even had promised to return the ex-Shah’s assets without extraditing him to Iran because the Shah was ill and he was to undergo treatment in the U.S.; the U.S. government had also asked Iran to return F14 fighter jets , and the U.S. government, in return, would return their money.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

When Mr. Ahmad Khomeini found out the U.S. suggestion, he consulted it with Mohammad Mousavi Khoeiniha and they planned the takeover of the U.S. Embassy. Ebrahim Asgharzadeh and Mirdamadi who were the close allies and friends of Mousavi Khoeiniha got the green light to seize the U.S. Embassy on November 13 in order to block any possible channel for ties with the U.S.

This decision and details of talks in Algeria were handed over to the late Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, and he censured the performance of Mr. Bazargan and his entourage and praised the performance of Muslim student followers of the Imam’s line who took over the embassy and termed their act a revolution greater than the first revolution and actually endorsed the decision and act of Mr. Ahmad Khomeini and Mr. Khoeiniha.

On the seizure of the Den of Espionage (the U.S. Embassy), the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei says, “Their embassy, which was later named the Den of Espionage and actually it was right, was the center for organizing and directing opponents and enemies of the revolution where they used to get their orders to act against the revolution and Islamic establishment … Americans accepted the Shah who fled the country and gave him a shelter as a guest. They did not return the assets of Mohammad Reza Shah and his investments in the U.S. worth billions of dollars. Takeover of the Den of Espionage was aimed at showing the U.S. that no one can kid with therevolution. The revolution of this nation and country is not of that kind of revolution to tolerate any plot.”

During 444 days that the U.S. Embassy’s staff, who were the guests of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and behind the scene, some political intermediaries were busy with political cooking. Some of these cookings, which were in form of mischiefs, were reported to the late Imam. After Mr. Bazargan returned to the country and learned that the U.S. Embassy had been seized by the students, he resigned and in the wake of his resignation, the late Imam asked Mr. Ahmad Khomeini and Revolution Council to run the country and ordered to put an end to the U.S. Embassy issue.

The leftist members of Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution Organization (MISO) were in charge of the most complicated cookings and they were preparing to deal with Britain which had earlier reached a deal with the U.S. Republicans over inflicting a blow at the Democrat Party. So the MISO members resorted to different pretexts for delay in releasing the American hostages. The leader of this current was nobody but Behzad Nabavi.

I later heard that Nabavi had said, “I, as a member of the organization, opposed the release of the American hostages and believed in putting them on trial even as symbolic.”

This was totally a contradiction to his later remarks. Nabavi later claimed that he and his organization did their best to release the hostages during the U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s era but they failed. But the parliament with support of Martyr Rajaee summoned Nabavi and questioned him over the delay in release of the hostages because lawmakers had realized that something was fishy about it and they did not follow Nabavi.

I also informed the late Imam about sham bureaucracy of Mr. Nabavi and the foreign ministry for delaying the release of the Americans but this complicated current in coordination with Ahmad Khomeini delayed the process of the release of Americans and postponed it to President Ronald Reagan’s era due to behind-the-scene deal.

Years after the release of the Americans, the U.S. government set up a 21-man committee to probe about the behind-the-scene deal and they also interviewed me. The committee prepared a 5-volume report and sent it to the Congress and the case was closed.

Of course during the takeover of the Den of Espionage and later the release of the confiscated documents and release of hostages, if we look at the event from any aspect and angle, we see that the U.S. has actually been fully humiliated and this humiliation has become bigger and bigger during the past four decades, and every year a ceremony is held in front of the former U.S. Embassy building, which is now under control of Basij forces, to mark 13 Aban (November 4). In all these forty years, the U.S. has remained silent against this humiliation and it censors the result of this ceremony and contempt in the media.

This has made Saudi Arabia and Israel to magnify this event bigger and bigger in order to discourage the U.S. from thinking to penitence for those disasters which had led to such a reaction.
