Enforcing the Biggest Quarantine in the 21st Century

The Coronavirus, better known as the COVID-19, is considered as the most influential factor of the modern world which could enforce billions of people into house quarantine and actually confined them to their houses.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

What we have seen in the world in recent three decades that has emerged and had social impact, and issuance of central orders, seemingly has been aimed at protecting the lives and the Information Technology (IT), and if it had happened before the Industrial and Telecommunications Revolution, it would have been never able to persuade this huge amount of people in the world to stay at their homes. It is because administering major part of the world, from macro managements to earning a livings, is possible through connection with computers or mobile phones and it made imposition of the house quarantine possible for containing the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Some analysts believe that there is a possibility that some powers have planned such a dangerous plot for threatening the live of humanity in order to take advantage of the resulted climate from the outbreak of the virus for their expansionist policies. Like the World Wars I and II which broke out because of plots of some western countries for more dominance and it led to the rise of power and authority of some rich countries in the world, and its result was the formation of United Nations and the United Nations Security Council which gave veto right to five countries and it was dictated to the world. The world community with the global sustainable peace plan and formation of new governing through the United Nations dictated new form of centralized hegemony without any precondition to all countries in the world.

A strong belief lies in these analyses about the grandeur and emergence of this dangerous virus that the post-Coronavirus world may have more dangerous consequences in thoughts of the think-tanks and it may be like what happened after two world wars and formation of the United Nations for a global order and its consequences, and another method for ruling in the human societies; and its type and style comparatively is related to the modern mass media and even to the virtual space dominance with the modern distributed tools in the world or actually in the Cybernetic Capacity in Rolling Theory.

The grounds for preparing decision-makings for materializing this belief of fight with Re-Appearance can be the main goal of this theory and even making it a tool for its implementation because the West during the Renaissance era with magnifying the mistakes of the deviated Christian and Jewish clerics weakened humans’ connection with divine science, and comparatively cut it and they just limited human to only rely on experimental and materialistic sciences and their effort resulted in severing man’s relation with God. Maybe in those days the issue of the End Time, which has been highlighted and noticed today, might not have been in the minds of Western, Eastern and Zionists theoreticians like what is today, and after the emergence of the Islamic Revolution, this theory of how to fight with the Islamic Revolution is getting more noticeable than ever.

With some pessimistic view let’s have a look at the performance and measures taken by our own Information and Telecommunications Minister. Exactly at the time when people stayed at their homes during the lockdown, he doubled the speed of internet and even offered free internet service. This means that human does not feel tired and uselessness at home as custodians of the cybernetic capacity theory exactly want, those people ,who planned to push people into the house quarantine, imposed the biggest maneuver of active presence of people in the virtual world under the pretext of the Coronavirus, at least for now. This very perilous phenomenon can make the human community more attached and reliant on the virtual world in the post-Coronavirus era; the world which is run by the superpowers and ready-to serve internet users account for 99 percent of it.

So placing the Noor-1 Satellite in the orbit is considered as a source of concern for the West who fears that the Zionist current may lose its monopoly and control over of the world cybernetics.

So spending and financing on this topic is more necessary than bread for the pious people and those who believe in resistance and Re-Appearance and today in such a highway for accurate information dissemination, we are more responsible.

Iran May Leave NPT If Nuclear Case Sent to UNSC

According To Iran News, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said if the European Union continues unjustifiable conduct and moves to send Iran’s nuclear case to the United Nations Security Council, Tehran would have the option of leaving the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Last week, the three European signatories to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran formally triggered the dispute mechanism within the agreement, accusing Iran of having violated the accord. Iran would now be asked to resolve the so-called dispute with the European trio, and the process could ultimately lead to the re-imposition of the Security Council’s sanctions that were lifted by the accord.

“The Europeans’ remarks lack legal justification,” Zarif was quoted as saying by Press TV on Monday.

The European accusations concern a set of countermeasures that Iran has been applying in reaction to the United States’ withdrawal from the deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in 2018.

The measures also came in response to Washington’s re-imposition of draconian sanctions, and the EU3’s refusal to guarantee Iran’s business interests under the nuclear deal.

As part of the retaliatory steps, Iran stopped recognizing the limits set by the deal on the level of its enrichment activities and the volume of its heavy water reservoir.

On January 5, the country said it would no longer observe any operational limitations on its nuclear industry, whether concerning the capacity and level of uranium enrichment, the volume of stockpiled uranium or research and development.

The abrupt decision came two days after a set of US drone strikes assassinated senior Iranian commander and the most revered anti-terror military figure in the Middle East, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, in Baghdad.

Tehran has unequivocally specified that its retaliatory steps fit within the nuclear accord’s Paragraph 36, and are reversible if the other parties begin minding their contractual obligations.

Zarif explained that Iran was the party to initially trigger the dispute mechanism in 2018 by sending three letters to the European Union to notify them of Tehran’s dissatisfaction with Europe’s non-commitment to the agreement. The Islamic Republic, he added, was then forced to resort to the nuclear countermeasures as the Europeans remained in violation of the accord.

He, however, said Tehran’s measures were reversible provided Europe would begin minding its JCPOA obligations.

“But if Europeans keep up their actions based on political games, we have various options because their actions lack legal standing,” he said.

Zarif noted however that before taking the final step of withdrawing from the NPT, Iran has other steps to ponder.

India Asks China to Avoid Raising Kashmir Dispute at UN

According To Iran News, India on Thursday asked China to avoid raising the Kashmir dispute at the United Nations Security Council, insisting it is a bilateral matter between India and Pakistan.

The Indian government issued a statement Thursday, a day after China requested a review by the UN Security Council of the UN observer mission in Kashmir.

“China should reflect on a global consensus on Kashmir and avoid raising it at the United Nations,” India’s External Affairs Ministry spokesman Raveesh Kumar told reporters in New Delhi, AP reported.

Most countries on the 15-member council have urged India and Pakistan to cool the dispute and resolve it between themselves. But on Wednesday, China’s UN ambassador warned against further escalation of strife between India and Pakistan over the disputed Kashmir region and expressed hope that a Security Council meeting called by Beijing might help both countries seek a solution through dialogue.

Kumar said India has raised the matter with China in the past.

The latest flareup in conflict was sparked by a decision by India’s Hindu nationalist-led government to end the semi-autonomous status of Muslim-majority Kashmir on Aug. 5.

A harsh crackdown ensued, with New Delhi sending tens of thousands more troops to the already heavily militarized region, imposing a sweeping curfew, arresting thousands and cutting off virtually all communications.

Authorities have since eased several restrictions, lifting roadblocks and restoring landlines and cellphone services, but Internet service is yet to be restored in the Kashmir valley.

Also Thursday, India’s External Affairs Ministry said India will invite Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to attend the 19th council of heads of government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization which will be hosted by India later this year.

“As per the established practices and procedures within SCO, all eight members of SCO as well as four observer states and other international dialogue partners will be invited (by India),” the ministry said.

India and Pakistan both became full members of the SCO in June 2017. The SCO was founded at a summit in Shanghai in 2001 by the presidents of Russia, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to promote multilateral economic cooperation.

US Admits Iran’s Missile Testing Not Prohibited in UN Resolution: Zarif

According To Iran News, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook openly admits that missile testing is not prohibited in the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231, which endorses the 2015 nuclear deal.

In a post on his Twitter account, Zarif hit back at the European parties to the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which recently accused Tehran of ignoring the UN resolution.

“Brian Hook has given our E3 #JCPOA partners a timely reminder, openly admitting that missile testing is NOT prohibited in Security Council Resolution 2231,” the Iranian top diplomat wrote.

“One of the deficiencies of the Iran nuclear deal is that it ENDED the prohibition on Iran’s ballistic missile testing,” Zarif quoted Hook as saying.

Zarif’s post came after the three European parties to the JCPOA, namely France, Germany and the UK, sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, alleging that “Iran’s developments of nuclear-capable ballistic missiles” go against the UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

Ambassadors from the three European nations have also called on Guterres to inform the Security Council in his next report that Iran’s ballistic missile activity is “inconsistent” with the call in the resolution endorsing the JCPOA.

Resolution 2231 calls upon Iran “not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons.”

Iranian officials have time and again underscored that none of the country’s missiles have been designed to be capable of carrying nuclear warheads, because nuclear weapons have basically no place in Iran’s defense doctrine.

In a press release on Wednesday, Iran’s UN mission denounced attempts by US special representative for Iran, Brian Hook, at drumming up support against Iran.

The statement came after Hook went to the UN to update permanent members of the Security Council on US policy towards Iran.

The Iranian mission’s statement is as follows:

“A US State Department official traveled to New York to meet with the United Nations Security Council members to underscore, as falsely claimed by the US State Department, “the importance of holding Iran accountable for its defiance of UN Security Council resolutions on the development and testing of ballistic missiles”.

The US is reminded that resolution 2231, which has been adopted unanimously, replaced all previous resolutions of the Security Council on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, and endorsed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Iran’s compliance with its nuclear related commitments under the JCPOA has been confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency for 14 times thus far.

Likewise, contrary to all fabrications and disinformation of the US, none of Iran’s missiles are “designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons”, and therefore resolution 2231 does not limit, in any way, the activities related to the conventional ballistic missiles of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Consequently, Iran’s related activities are not inconsistent with that resolution, rather, they fall outside of the purview or competence of that resolution.

However, the US, in clear and flagrant violation of resolution 2231, has withdrawn from the JCPOA. The worse is that, the US, as a permanent seat holder in the Security Council, is brazenly threatening other UN Member States, either to VIOLATE that resolution or to face PUNISHMENT. This is truly a destructive and hypocritical policy.

Instead of attempting to disseminate fabricated accusations and to exploit the UN Security Council to advance its mischievous policies against Iran, the US authorities must act responsibly in accordance with their international obligations and to explain to the Council members that why their country is violating resolution 2231 and why it is forcing other States to do the same.”

The one-page reports, seen by Reuters on Tuesday, were submitted to the council’s North Korea sanctions committee in compliance with a 2017 resolution that demanded the repatriation of all North Korean workers by the end of this year to stop them earning foreign currency for leader Kim Jong Un’s authorities.

The United States has said it believed Pyongyang was earning more than $500 million a year from nearly 100,000 workers abroad, of which some 80,000 were in China and 30,000 in Russia.

The UN Security Council has steadily toughened sanctions on North Korea since 2006 to choke off funding for Pyongyang’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs. US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have met twice in the past year in a bid to negotiate denuclearization.

The December 2017 UN resolution required countries to report to the sanctions committee this month on all North Korean workers repatriated during 2018 “including an explanation of why less than half of such” workers were repatriated if applicable.

Russia reported that in 2018 the number of North Koreans “with valid work permits in the Russian Federation decreased from 30,023 to 11,490 persons.” Key North Korean ally China said it had repatriated “more than half of the total DPRK nationals earning income.”

“China will continue earnestly implementing its international obligations, carry out the repatriation work in an orderly manner and complete the repatriation on time,” wrote China’s mission to the United Nations, adding that it did not want the report to be made public.

In 2015, UN human rights investigator Marzuki Darusman said that the North Koreans abroad worked mainly in mining, logging, textile and construction. The reports submitted by Russia and China to the sanctions committee did not specify what industries had employed the North Koreans.

New York-based Human Rights Watch said in a 2017 report that “the treatment of North Korean workers overseas falls short of international labor standards, with no right to freedom of association or expression, control by minders who limit freedom of movement and access to information from the outside world, long working hours and no right to refuse overtime.”

North Korea has said its laborers were working abroad legally and were not mistreated or forced to go.
