Iran investigating Dutch role in 2007 sabotaging attack in Natanz nuclear site

Mousavi reacted to the recent news on the probable role that Netherland’s intelligence services played in sabotaging attack in Natanz nuclear site back in 2007 through Stuxnet, saying that “this news is being carefully taken look into by the Foreign Ministry and our Embassy in the Netherlands.”

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman added that this morning, the chairman of Foreign Ministry Western Europe Department conveyed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s concern and sensitivity over the issue to the Directory General of Dutch Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, who is in Tehran on a pre-planned visit, and his accompanying Dutch delegation as well as the Dutch ambassador.

He added the Dutch delegation responded by promising to convey Iran’s message to their government.

Iranian team wins men’s compound at 2019 World Archery Para C’ships

The Iranian team, comprising Ali Sina Menshazadeh, Hadi Nouri and Ramazan Biabani, gained a 222-219 victory against Turkey in the final match.

The Iranian team had earlier overpowered Brazil and Malaysia before beating China in the semifinal.

The 2019 World Archery Para Championships kicked off on June 3 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands and will wrap up on June 9.

Dutch firms still cooperating with Iran’s oil industry despite US sanctions

Speaking on the sidelines of the exhibition in Tehran on Friday, Khosro Salour said that despite the sanctions and the concerns expressed by Dutch banks, the European state’s firms still have an active presence in Iran.

Dutch companies cooperate with Iranian firms in different energy sectors, and many of them are directly carrying out activities in the country’s market, the official added.

Salour noted that the Dutch government does not prevent the country’s companies from cooperating with Iran’s oil industry and is committed to the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed between Iran and P5+1 in 2015.

Last May, US President Donald Trump pulled Washington out of the JCPOA and unilaterally reimposed sanctions on Tehran’s oil and gas industry and banking sector.

Two Dutch firms have participated in the 24th Iran Oil Show, including Dutch Energy Solutions, he said, adding that a large number of firms from other European countries have also attended the exhibition as visitors.

The 24th Iran International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2019) began on Wednesday (May 1) and will wrap up today.

EU determined to implement INSTEX: Dutch envoy

Despite the imposed new round of US-led sanctions against Iran and the US withdrawal from JCPOA, EU is committed to preserve Iran’s nuclear deal, the ambassador said.

Werner also hoped that his country’s cooperation with Iran would be increased in agricultural sector.

The Netherlands owns modern technology in agriculture sector and tries to share its experiences in this sector with Iran on the way to boost mutual trade ties and have a share in Iran’s lucrative market, he added.
