US Fined Nearly $50 Billion for Sponsoring Terrorist Groups

TEHRAN (Iran News) A total of 700 plaintiffs, including the families of the martyrs who have lost their lives in the battle against the US-sponsored terrorist and Takfiri groups in defense of the holy Shiite shrines, had lodged a complaint against the US government at the 55th division of the court of Tehran on international legal lawsuits.

The court’s judge announced his verdict on Saturday, ruling that the US government –the sponsor of the terrorist groups- should pay a total of $48.86 billion in compensation to the families of the martyrs.

Rouhani Warns against Deployment of Terrorists on Iran’s Border

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned against the deployment of Syria-based foreign terrorists to the areas near Iran’s border for involvement in an ongoing conflict between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at a weekly cabinet session on Wednesday, Rouhani said Iran has already fought terrorists in its neighboring countries to keep them away from its borders.

“Over the years, we have fought terrorists and forced them away from our borders, people like martyr Soleimani were on the ground and fought them, to kill terrorists right there and then keep them from getting close to our frontiers,” he said.

“We fought terrorists in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq with the help of their people. It is unacceptable if certain people want to take terrorists from Syria and other places to areas near the Iranian borders under different pretexts, and we have straightforwardly informed officials in both the Azerbaijan Republic and Armenia of our position in that regard,” the president stated, according to the government’s official website.

Rouhani also said every effort should be made to prevent the Azeri-Armenian conflict from growing into a regional war, and warned third parties against fueling the flames of fighting.

The president further added that Iran’s border security must be preserved amid tensions in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

He expressed regret over the ongoing war, calling for an end to the fighting.

Rouhani also underlined the need to respect Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.

In a telephone conversation with his Azeri counterpart on Tuesday, Rouhani called on Baku and Yervean to avoid spreading the armed clashed in the Nagorno-Karabakh region to cities, stressing the need to protect civilians in the war.

IRGC Completed Mission in West of Iran

TEHRAN (Iran News) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Force wrapped up a mission in the west of Iran after cleansing large areas of terrorist groups.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, IRGC Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said the “Muslim Kurdish Martyrs” mission in north west of Iran near the Iraqi border has come to an end after accomplishing all objectives.

Many areas have been cleansed of terrorists in the military exercise, the commander said.

“Decisive action against the terrorist elements and groups are always on the agenda of the IRGC Ground Force, and we will vigorously confront terrorists wherever they may be,” he noted.

“The IRGC Ground Force would by no means allow terrorist groups and elements upsetting regional security to make any moves,” Brigadier General Pakpour stressed.

He further warned terrorists and their allies that any sinister move at the border areas, particularly along Iran’s northwestern and southeastern border, will receive the IRGC Ground Force’ “iron fist and harsh reaction.”

According to the commander, several IRGC units, including drone units, armored units, Ground Force’s airborne division, mechanized units, Saberin Special Forces brigade, and local provincial troops took part in the war game.

The IRGC Ground Force had already warned the Kurdistan Regional Government to prevent the terrorist groups from using the areas near the common border with Iran and to stop them from setting up camps for training, organizing, and deploying terrorist teams into Iran.

Supporting Syria against Terrorists Will Continue

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mojtaba Zonnour reiterated the country’s unwavering policy on Syria and said the Islamic Republic will continue supporting Syria against terrorists.

Speaking at a meeting with Speaker of the People’s Council of Syria Hammouda Youssef Sabbagh in Damascus on Wednesday, Zonnour pointed to close ties between Iran and Syria and said, “Religious, historical, cultural, and social commonalities between the two nations have led to strong and deeply intertwined political, economic and cultural interaction.”

He further highlighted the important role of the two countries’ parliaments in advancing their strategic goals and said mutual parliamentary cooperation has had a major role in cementing the ties.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran considers supporting the Axis of Resistance as a human duty and will continue to side with Syria in the fight against terrorist groups,” the lawmaker stated.

Sabbagh, for his part, expressed gratitude to Iran for its all-out support for the Syrian people and government and said the sacrifices of the Iranians helping the Syrian army have led to the victories over the enemies.

Since the outbreak of war and foreign militancy in Syria in 2011, Iran has stood by the Syrian government and supported its people against terrorist groups, including ISIS.

In recent months, the Syrian army has managed to liberate many of the areas occupied by terrorists and has begun the reconstruction process.

Back in January, Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri traveled to Syria with a 40-strong political and business delegation, during which the two sides inked 11 agreements.

In December 2018, Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud said his country gives priority to Iran for carrying out projects in the reconstruction process of Syria after years of war.

In September 2017, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York that Iran would assist the Syrian nation in reconstructing their country after the war, in the same way, that it contributed to the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Arab state amid the crisis.

Turkey to create safe zone by itself if can’t come to agreement with US

Akar held a phone call with Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, telling him one more time that Turkey expects the US to fully withdraw its support from the PKK terrorist organization’s Syrian offshoot People’s Protection Units (YPG).

“If Turkey, US don’t find common ground, Ankara will be obliged to create a safe zone on its own,” Akar said.

Akar reiterated once again that Ankara will not allow a terror corridor south of Turkey.

He also noted that Turkey is the only competent and efficient power to provide control over the planned safe zone in northern Syria.

US move against IRGC increased unity between nation, establishment

According to the official website of Iranian Presidency ‘President.ir’, Mahmoud Vaezi, Chief of Staff of Iranian President, made the remarks in a meeting with some senior economic and political executive directors on Saturday, during which he said that the US intended to divide the political parties in Iran by designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

Vaezi said that US aimed to sow division between the Iranian nation and the Islamic Establishment, but they have failed to achieve that goal over the past forty years since the Islamic Revolution.

Ha added that the US terrorist designation of IRGC has had a reverse effect and has led the country towards more national unity.

The chief of staff described last year for the Iranian economy as a very difficult year but the country could tackle the immense foreign economic pressures through the wise leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Republic and maintaing national unity.

Patience is not endless regarding presence of terrorists in Idlib

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has affirmed the importance of eradicating the hotbed of terrorism in Idlib, saying that patience in not endless regarding the presence of terrorists in it.

Lavrov, during his speech at Munich Security Conference on Saturday, said that the three guarantor states of Astana process (Russia, Iran and Turkey) agreed during their last summit in Sochi to launch a “Step by Step” process to clear Idlib of terrorist organizations.

He pointed out that a precise plan will be put to save the lives of civilians, not as the United States did when it destroyed Raqqa city under the pretext of fighting the terrorist organization of ISIL.

US using terrorists in Syria to serve its geopolitical interests

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the United States is using terrorists in Syria to serve its geopolitical interests.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry said that Washington isn’t averse to using even those who are without a doubt terrorists to serve its geopolitical interests, something which the US is doing in Syria.

The Ministry said that throughout the 8 years of the war on Syria, US agencies have been supporting terrorists that are directly affiliated to Al Qaeda in direct violation of American laws, all to serve its own interests and purposes.

US-led coalition strikes on al-Kishkiah, Deir Ezzor kills 10 civilians

Ten civilians, among them children were killed after the US-led coalition shelled al-Kishkiah town in Deir Ezzor , less than 24 hours after its massacre against civilians al-Sha’afa village.

Local sources told SANA reporter that a house in al-Kishkiah was razed when warplanes of the US-led coalition launched an aggression on the town located on the left bank of the Euphrates River in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor under the pretext of combating ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq, killing ten civilians , including four children.

Syrian Army foils terrorists’ attempts to attack military posts in Hama

A Syrian Arab army unit foiled attempts by terrorist groups to attack military posts positioned in the surroundings of al-Masasneh town in Hama northern countryside.

SANA’s reporter in Hama said that army units engaged in violent clashes with terrorist groups affiliated to the so-called “al-Ezza Brigades” which are positioned in al-Latamina town after they tried to attack military posts in the surroundings of al-Masasneh town in the eastern countryside of Mharda area.

The reporter added that the terrorist attacks were foiled after killing many members of the terrorist groups and forcing the rest to flee towards al-Latamina which is considered as one of the biggest gatherings of foreign mercenaries in Hama northern countryside.
