Although Iranian university students in the U.S. do not face any consequences of U.S. President Donald Trump’s pulling out of the nuclear deal and imposing sanctions, their families may have problems with providing foreign currency in U.S. dollars for their children abroad, the head of the Students Affairs Organization (SAO) at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology announced.

Mojtaba Sediqi said that the regulation for admission is now available on the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology website.

The Iranian universities are now ready to accept students at bachelor’s degree.

“We are mulling over admission of students in higher education level in the near future,” he explained.
The students will be admitted to the Iranian universities with fairly same ranking as the universities they are currently studying at, he concluded.

There is no university student among those arrested in connection with the recent unrest in Iran, the interior minister said on Tuesday, adding that fewer than 300 people remain in custody on charges of involvement in the riots.

Based on the latest reports from across Iran, fewer than 300 individuals arrested during the recent violent unrest remain in custody, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said on Tuesday, adding that the Judiciary is handling their cases.

He also said that no university student is being held in custody in connection with the riots.

Earlier this month, Iranian Police Commander Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari said his forces have released many of those arrested during the unrest to investigate their cases in future.

The general also explained that no police unit was armed with assault rifles in the recent unrest, in compliance with a directive by the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.

In late December, peaceful protests over economic problems broke out in a number of Iranian cities, but the gatherings turned violent in some places when groups of participants, some of them armed, vandalized public property and launched attacks on police stations and government buildings.

Following the unrest, people held several demonstrations across the country to condemn the violent riots and acts of vandalism, and voice support for the Islamic Republic’s Establishment.

Security forces say many rioters arrested in the recent unrest have been trained by the MKO terrorists or had links with Takfiri terrorist groups.

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful:

Dear Young University Students,

The current era and its developments define certain expectations for young individuals, which did not exist or were not known in previous times. Young university students should, thoroughly, understand these developments and the corresponding expectations, and thus prepare themselves. Islamic associations and the religious climate within them can assist you in preparing yourselves. The main point is that you work for the sake of God, enthusiastically, fulfilling your duties. If you accomplish the blessed opportunity [to do so], Divine Guidance will come to your aid, too. God willing.
I ask God to grant all of you bliss and success.

TEHRAN– Five Iranian satellites developed by the local universities and science institutions are awaiting launch, an official announced, saying one of them, manufactured by Sharif University of Technology, will go into orbit within the next five months.

In comments on Tuesday, Mansour Kabganian, secretary of a working group tasked with devising a road map to Iran’s scientific progress, said the aerospace authorities have announced that three satellites manufactured by the universities and two others made by the institutions are ready for launch.

Sharif Sat, the homegrown satellite developed by Sharif University of Technology experts, will be put into orbit during this Iranian year, which ends on March 20, 2018, he noted.

Another satellite made by Amirkabir University of Technology, dubbed Payam, will be launched next year, Kabganian added.

Iran has in recent years made great headways in the space technology thanks to the efforts made by its local scientists.

The country successfully launched its first indigenous data-processing satellite, Omid (Hope), into orbit in February 2009.

In late July, Iran inaugurated the Imam Khomeini National Space Center with the successful test-launch of a homegrown satellite carrier dubbed Simorgh.

The center, home to Iran’s first fixed launch platform, administrates the development, launch, and navigation of Iranian satellite carriers.

Designed and built in compliance with international standards, the Imam Khomeini National Space Center is going to handle all space projects in the low‑Earth orbit (LEO).

TEHRAN – Hundreds of students yesterday rallied in front of the UN office in Tehran to protest at the Myanmar government genocide against Rohingya Muslims.

According to the public relations of the Union of the Islamic Associations of the Pupils, several members of the union as well as other groups of students staged a protest gathering in front of the UN office in Tehran to condemn the atrocities of Myanmar government against Rohingya Muslims.

Secretary General of the union Mr. Hamed Alamati was among the protesters and delivered a speech for the protesters.

In his speech, he pointed to the displacing of Rohingya Muslims and genocide against them by Myanmar government which hurts any freedom-seeking man but those who support the human rights are silent and indifferent to such horrible atrocities.

Alamati added that plot against Muslims this time in Myanmar shows that war against Islam is still pursued by western and eastern extremists by resorting to a new scenario.

He blasted the human rights bodies for their silence, adding that their indifference will lead to horrible disaster. He went on to say that the international bodies are better to take action against such inhuman violence rather than issuing statements against Iran and accusing it of meddling in other countries’ affairs.

Alamati also criticized the Nobel Foundation for awarding nobel prize to the murderers and urged to take back the Noble Prize from Aung San Suu Kyi who is one of the masterminds of the recent genocide against Rohingya Muslims.

He also called Iran’s government to push for more international pressure on the genocide and Myanmar government. He also slammed the leaders of the Islamic states for their indifference to the current violence against Muslims in Myanmar.

Alamati said Iranian revolutionary nation as before will defend innocent nations and it has proved that Islamic Revolution has not limited to ethnic, religion and nationalism and it is opposed to the massacre of innocent people.
