										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) – Iran’s export of steel ingots increased 25 percent in the past Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), from its preceding year, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) has announced.</p>
<p>The IMIDRO’s data put the country’s annual steel ingot exports at 7.678 million tons in the past year, and at 6.162 million tons in its previous year.</p>
<p>The Iranian Steel industry has been constantly developing over the past years against all the pressures and obstacles created by outside forces like the U.S. sanctions and the coronavirus outbreak that has severely affected the performance of the world’s top producers.</p>
<p>Iran’s crude steel production increased by 11.8 percent in the first two months of 2022 when the production by the world’s top 64 steelmakers declined by 5.5 percent, according to the World Steel Association (WSA)’s latest report.</p>
<p>Iran was ranked first among the world’s top steel producers in terms of production growth, followed by India, Germany, Russia, and the United States.</p>
<p>Based on the report, Iran produced 5.3 million tons of crude steel during the mentioned two months.</p>
<p>The country’s crude steel production in February stood at 2.5 million tons which was also 3.7 percent higher than the same month in 2021.</p>
<p>According to the World Steel Association, similar to the past two years, Iran has maintained its 10th place among the world’s top steel producers, after countries like China, India, Japan, and Russia.</p>
<p>The country is expected to climb to seventh place among the world’s top steel producers by the Iranian calendar year 1404 (March 2025).</p>

Iran exported over 4.937 million tons of steel during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-November 21), which was 22 percent more than the figure of the same period of time in the past year.</p>
<p>Khouzestan Steel Company posted the best performance through exporting 1.117 million tons of steel in the eight-month period, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company and Esfahan Steel Company by exporting 814,724 tons and 766,630 tons, respectively.</p>
<p>Rebar produced by Khorasan Steel Company registered the highest export rise in the mentioned period, as 1,081 tons of the product was exported.</p>
<p>According to the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA), Iranian exports of steel during the previous Iranian calendar year declined 13.1 percent compared to the figure for the preceding year.</p>
<p>Based on the association’s data, the country exported nine million tons of steel in the previous year.</p>
<p>Over 2.839 million tons of steel products were also exported in the mentioned year, registering an 18-percent decline year on year.</p>

<p>Based on the latest report released by the World Steel Association (WSA), Iran has maintained its place as the world’s 10th biggest steel producer during January-October, 2021.</p>
<p>Production of crude steel in Iran reached 22.4 million tons during the mentioned time span to register a 5.7-percent decline year on year, the report said.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) –  Iran exported over 5.912 million tons of steel during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), which was 30 percent more than the figure of the same period of time in the past year.</p>
<p>Based on the latest data released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA), of the mentioned figure 1.486 million tons was the share of steel profiles which also registered a 44-percent rise year on year, IRNA reported.</p>
<p>Exports of rebar, which had the largest share of total exports of steel products, in the first seven months of this year increased by 57 percent compared to the same period last year to reach 1.307 million tons.</p>
<p>Exports of flat steel sections also increased by 18 percent during the said period to stand at 369,000 tons. Also, the export of sponge iron during the mentioned period increased by 279 percent to reach 698,000 tons.</p>
<p>According to ISPA, Iranian exports of steel during the previous Iranian calendar year declined 13.1 percent compared to the figure for the preceding year.</p>
<p>Based on the association’s data, the country exported nine million tons of steel in the previous year while the exports in that year stood at 10.362 million tons.</p>
<p>Over 2.839 million tons of steel products were also exported in the mentioned year, registering an 18-percent decline year on year.</p>

Iran&#8217;s major steel producers exported 1.14 million tons of steel during the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21), which was 146 percent more than the figure of the same period of time in the past year.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, these producers exported over 632,000 tons of steel in the second month of this year, which was 187 percent higher than the figure of the second month of the previous year.</p>
<p>As reported, in the first two months of this year, the highest amount of steel exports was made by Khuzestan Steel Company with 341,187 tons, followed by Esfahan Steel Company with 213,873 tons and Mobarakeh Steel Company with 106,032 tons in the second and third ranks.</p>
<p>Iran’s export of steel during the previous Iranian calendar year 1399 (ended on March 20) declined 13.1 percent compared to the figure for the preceding year, data released by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) showed.</p>
<p>Based on the mentioned data, the country exported nine million tons of steel in the previous year while the exports in the Iranian calendar year 1398 stood at 10.362 million tons.</p>
<p>According to ISPA, over 2.839 million tons of steel products were also exported in the mentioned year, registering an 18-percent decline year on year.</p>
<p>As ISPA data indicated, the exports of steel products, intermediate steel and sponge iron all declined last year, and despite significant output growth and the demand decline in domestic construction sector, the exports of the mentioned products did not increase due to the pandemic.</p>
<p>Iran is planning to produce 32 million tons of steel in the current Iranian calendar year (ends on March 2022) to register a 27.7 percent rise compared to the figure for the previous year.</p>
<p>Based on the Industry, Mining, and Trade Ministry data, Iranian steel companies managed to produce 28.374 million tons of steel in the previous Iranian calendar year.</p>
