<p>In the final match of men’s 65kg category, held at 17:40 of Sunday, local time, Iran’s Mohammad Karimi suffered a 1-6 defeat to Azerbaijan’s Turan Bayramov and received the silver medal. In his route to final, Karimi had edged past Fathi Attia Ismail 6-5 before teching USA’s Carson Taylor Manville 10-0. The bronze medal of this category went to Pakistan’s Inayat Ullah.</p>
<p>In men’s 110kg category, Iran’s Amir Hossein Zare, in his first step, defeated Australia’s Thomas Mcglinchey Barns 11-0 with a technical superiority. Next, he again teched another rival, Egypt’s Ahmed Mahmoud Elsayed Khalil, 11-0 and found the way to the final. However, there he admitted a narrow 5-6 defeat to Russia’s Sergei Kozyrev. The Egyptian wrestler won the bronze medal of this category.</p>
<p>Accordingly, the wrestling event of the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics wrapped up on Sunday. Iranians managed to win two gold and two silver medals in Greco-Roman and freestyle respectively.</p>
<p>The third edition of Summer Youth Olympics kicked off on October 6 and lasts for 12 days. Some 4,000 thousand athletes from 206 countries compete in 32 different sports. 49 Iranian athletes are participating in 18 sports.</p>

<p>In the final contest of Men’s -60kg category held at JCC Plenary Hall, Mahdizadeh was defeated by Indonesia’s Rifki Ardiansyah Arrosyiid 7-9 and gained another silver medal for Iran.</p>
<p>In his route to final, Mahdizadeh had overpowered Philippines’ Jayson Macaalay and China’s Van Hai Nguyen before having a thrilling encounter against world-class practitioner Sadriddin Saymatov from Uzbekistan in the semifinal which ended in Iran’s favor with a 7-6 victory.</p>
<p>Two bronze medals of this category went to the Uzbek practitioner and Malaysia’s Prem Kumar Selvam.</p>
<p>Iranian karate athletes have so far gained one gold, two silver and one bronze in 2018 Asian Games.</p>
<p>Collecting 14 gold, 13 silver and 9 bronze medals, Iran is currently ranked 4th in the medals table after China, Japan and South Korea. Indonesia and North Korea with 11 and 10 gold medals are just behind Iran in the ranking.</p>
<p>2018 Asian Games started on August 18 in Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang and will wrap up on September 2.</p>

<p>Ehsan Heydarinejad also won a bronze medal in the competition held in Doha, Qatar.</p>
<p>A total of 88 cueists from 36 countries, including four from Iran, participated in the men’s event while 54 participants from 27 countries, three of them from Iran, took part in the masters competition.</p>
<p>The IBSF World Snooker Championship (also known as the World Amateur Snooker Championship) is the premier non-professional snooker tournament in the world.</p>
<p>The event series is sanctioned by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation.</p>
