In a letter released on Wednesday, Nasrallah praised Zarif for standing against the US by disclosing the truth, saying the US plots against Iran are doomed to failure, like those hatched against Lebanon in the 2006 war.

What follows in the text of the Lebanese leader’s letter to Zarif, according to IFP:

Dear brother, Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, the honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran;

May the peace, mercy and blessing of Allah be upon you;

When the American authorities announced the imposition of sanctions on you and added you to the list of the honorable people, my brothers and I decided to send you a message to express our solidarity and respect; but I preferred to postpone issuing the message until today, August 14, the day on which the Lebanese resistance could defeat the US and so-called Israel with the full support and backing from the Islamic Republic of Iran during a 33-day war in July and August 2006.

The decisions and plots in that cruel war and grave invasion were made in America, and were under the authority of the powerless administration of George Bush the son, Condoleezza Rice, and John Bolton. The Israeli army, alleged by them to be the strongest army in the region, was merely an instrument for operation in that war.

Bolton, the then US envoy in the (UN) Security Council, had told one of the Arab officials in that war, “There is no room for diplomatic activity, because the war would not end unless with Hezbollah’s destruction or surrender.” But a few weeks later, Bolton told that Arab official, “We must finish the war right now.”

“Did you destroy Hezbollah?” the Arab official asked him.

“No,” Bolton said.

“Did you force Hezbollah to surrender?”

“No.”

“So why are you ending the war?”

“Because if the war continues, ‘Israel’ will be gripped by a tremendous catastrophe,” Bolton replied.

Mr. Minister, our dear friend;

Bolton, who threatens to overthrow the Islamic Republic’s establishment, has had no achievement or victory in his life. On these days back in 2006, the US retreated and was defeated in the face of popular resistance from a country with a small area and embroiled in internal disunity, let alone in the face of a great regional country, a united nation, a coherent establishment, and an august leadership.

Mr. Minister; you are a loud voice in all international venues, who discloses the truth, expresses what is rightful, and shouts it before the eyes of the world’s unruliest tyrants, namely the US and (Donald) Trump and all individuals of the same type, and this is the biggest jihad.

They sought to besiege you, push you away, and intimidate you, but your presence and influence were strengthened and your position was elevated; and God willing, you will continue to remain an advocate of the oppressed and those resisting in the same way.

May God protect and help you.

Hassan Nasrallah

“When the entire world allows (US President Donald) Trump to declare (Jerusalem) al-Quds as Israel’s eternal capital, and especially the Arab world remains silent, this opens the way for all US violations,” Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said in a speech on Tuesday.

“When institutions and International laws fail to serve the American agenda and their interest, they just simply disregard it in all disrespect, and what is called ‘the international community’ is not able to protect any right of the people whatsoever, including land ownership and sovereignty, taking back conquered land like what happened in Golan or what happened before that in (Jerusalem) al-Quds,” Nasrallah said, Press TV reported.

Trump recognized the holy city, which the Israeli regime occupied as part of the Palestinian territory of the West Bank during a war in 1967, as Israel’s “capital” in late 2017. On Monday, the US president took his second most controversial pro-Israeli action during his tenure by recognizing the regime’s “sovereignty” over Syria’s Golan Heights. Tel Aviv occupied the latter territory during the same war.

“We must expect Trump to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank,” Nasrallah added.

He said such a potential move “is part of the deal of the century,” referring to an under-wraps Washington proposal for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which reportedly includes outrageous violations against Palestinians’ historical demands.

“They can say the Palestinian people can go and live in Gaza,” the Hezbollah chief said, envisioning expulsion of Palestinians from the West Bank as part of the US plan.

He urged the Arab world to resort to what “conscience” it had left by preventing these prospects.

The Arab League, Nasrallah proposed, should use its upcoming summit in Tunisia to withdraw the so-called Arab peace initiative, proposed by Saudi Arabia in 2002, and instead press for more negotiation.

The initiative offers normalization of ties between Israel and 22 Arab countries in return for Tel Aviv’s withdrawal from the West Bank.

Separately, Nasrallah pointed to remarks made by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during a recent visit to Lebanon. Attending the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, the top diplomat urged that the Lebanese “face” Hezbollah and branded the group as an obstacle to realization of the Lebanese people’s dreams.

Nasrallah said his movement was in the service of Lebanon’s protection as has been the case during Israel’s several invasions of the country. Hezbollah rather upheld the Lebanese people’s dreams of retrieving the part of their land, which has been occupied by Tel Aviv, and eradication of corruption.

“Is Hezbollah standing in the face of these dreams? Or is Hezbollah part of the apparatus, which people pin their hopes on,” he asked.

The Hezbollah chief also referenced the US’s history of sowing instability, destruction, and bloodshed across the world through military invasion. By singling out the resistance group as the source of the country’s problems, the US is rather trying to pit the Lebanese people against each other and trigger a “civil war,” Nasrallah noted.

“He (Pompeo) is trying to incite us and wants the Lebanese people to shed each other’s blood. Pompeo is frustrated with the stability and peaceful coexistence in Lebanon,” he said.

The secretary general of Hezbollah praised the outstanding achievements made in Iran, stressing that the Islamic Republic is now top-ranked in many fields both in the Middle East and the world forty years after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

“Iran was under the significant influence of the United States during the (ousted monarchical) Pahlavi regime, and was Israel’s closest ally as well,” Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said as he addressed his supporters via a televised speech broadcast live from the Lebanese capital Beirut on Wednesday evening.

“This was the case until a courageous man (late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini) came out of Qom after years and years of observation, and stood against the Pahlavi regime’s dictatorship and its complete submission to the US,” Nasrallah added, Press TV reported.

The Hezbollah chief underscored that the late Imam Khomeini had no personal benefits in leading the revolution, and merely sacrificed his life for the sake of Allah.

Nasrallah went on to say that the late founder of the Islamic Republic and anyone who supported his struggle suffered oppression and imprisonment at the hands of the Pahlavi regime, describing Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution as one of the most influential events both at regional and international levels.

“The Pahlavi regime used to serve Americans’ interests in the region. It was seeking to forge broader relations with the US and Israel. The regime presented the worst form of dictatorship in the Middle East,” the Hezbollah secretary general pointed out.

“The divine nature and essence of the 1979 Islamic Revolution distinguish it from other uprisings (in the world). The late Imam Khomeini led the revolution against the poverty created by the Pahlavi regime. People from all strata of the society participated in it as it was an uprising of the oppressed against injustice,” Nasrallah said.

He highlighted that Iran achieved genuine independence after the Islamic Revolution, and is now one of the few regional countries that makes independent decisions.

The Hezbollah leader said Iran has made great achievements under the rule of the Islamic Jurisprudence and is now leading in the region concerning the number of university students, international researchers and scholars, share of science production besides activities in the fields of nanotechnology, space technology and sports.

“Iran is currently ranked second in the world in terms of stem cell research. The Islamic Republic now produces more than 97% of its medical drug needs. It produces over 95% of its required military hardware, and exports five billion dollars worth of munitions annually,” Nasrallah highlighted.

The political bureau of Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah Movement praised Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement Seyed Hassan Nasrallah for his recent comments against the Saudi-led coalition’s aggression on Yemen.

The political bureau of the Ansarullah, in a statement, expressed its gratitude to the secretary-general of Hezbollah for his “brave stance, continued support and solidarity with the oppressed nation of Yemen”.

“The Yemeni nation is proud of your commitment to the developments in Yemen…,” said the statement, according to the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen.

“The war on Yemen is no longer just for Yemenis but it is a war linked to the future of the region,” the Ansarullah said, adding that the war will determine the future of the Palestinian issue, which has reached the most dangerous stage.

Addressing his supporters via a televised speech broadcast from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut on Friday evening, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah rejected Saudi media reports regarding the presence of Hezbollah and Iranian fighters inside Yemen, stressing that no Lebanese resistance fighter has been killed in the conflict-ridden Arab country.

Nasrallah then stated that Saudi and Emirati military forces, together with their regional and Western allies, have suffered serious losses in Yemen’s western port city of Hudaydah.

The Hezbollah leader also extended his gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to pull troops out of the Saudi-led military coalition, which has been relentlessly pounding impoverished Yemen in an imposed war for more than three years.

“Saudi forces and their allies must know the fact that they are fighting a nation that will never capitulate,” Nasrallah concluded.
