The remarks by the IRGC chief came as Iran is set to hold National Army Day on Tuesday, April 18.

The general declared that the military forces would continue to frustrate Iran’s sworn enemies while praising the IRGC and Army as the strong arms of the Iranian nation that are at the forefront of defending national, revolutionary, and religious ideals.

The Iranian Armed Forces and security and intelligence organizations have teamed up and are acting vigilantly, shrewdly, and collectively to upset the enemy’s calculations and challenge the anti-Iran strategies and policies of the hegemonic system and Zionism, according to General Salami, who warned of the never-ending threats by Iran’s enemies.

The head of the IRGC further pointed out that the Army has been pursuing a “permanent strengthening” plan over the past 44 years.

The Army, he said, has not stopped advances in defense industry or failed to recognize, even for a second, the dangers posed by the adversaries.

The commander stressed the importance of ongoing efforts to strengthen military might and promised that the Armed Forces would never disregard the enemy’s threats and plans.

The parades on Tuesday, renowned as annual showcase for the most recent equipment and accomplishments of the Iranian Army, will feature a variety of Army units showcasing their most recent achievements.

He blamed the assassination of Sayad Khodaei on Israel, underlining that Iran will avenge his killing.

The IRGC colonel was assassinated by gunmen on a motorcycle in front of his home in Tehran. Israel has not claimed responsibility for the assassination. But the New York Times has reported that Tel Aviv was behind the killing and it did so to send a warning message to Iran.

This was the first time Israel targeted a non-nuclear expert in Tehran. Israel has long been involved in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists with Mohsen Fakhrizadeh being the last case.

By the assassination of Khodaei Israel appeared to be broadening the scope of its confrontation with Iran. A few days after the assassination of the IRGC colonel, Israeli media reported, with great fanfare, that Israel was also behind an alleged quadcopter drones attack on Iran’s military site in Parchin, where Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force General Amir Ali Hajizadeh was supposed to be assassinated. Iran didn’t confirm that there was an attack. Iran’s Ministry of Defense said in a statement that an incident took place in one of its research units that resulted in the martyrdom of an engineer named Ehsan Qad Beigi.

Fars News said Israel’s strategy for confrontation with Iran is slowly moving from the nuclear sphere to “geopolitical concerns” regarding the Axis of Resistance. Perhaps the starting point of this shift was the February Israeli strike on an Iranian drone facility in Mahidasht, west of Iran. Citing sources familiar with the matter, the Arabic-language Al-Alam news television said in March that Israel’s attack on Mahidasht took place from Iraqi Kurdistan. In March, Iran struck a “center of conspiracy” in the outskirt of Ebril, the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan region.

In an indication that Israel’s strategy has changed, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett hinted on Monday that Israel would take the battle to Iran rather than the Arab countries in which Tehran wields influence.

Speaking at a cabinet session, Bennett accused Iran of carrying out “terrorism” against Israel via “proxies.”

“But for some reason the head of the octopus – Iran itself – has enjoyed immunity,” he added.

He then said Iran “will pay the full price” for its activities against Israel.

Bennett’s bluster came at a time when Israel is under growing pressure for suppressing Palestinians and letting Jewish extremists profane Islamic sanctities in Jerusalem, which resulted in global condemnation.

On the other hand, Iran has shown that it can respond to Israel. Iran’s Army recently unveiled a secret underground drone plant that was hailed as putting Iran at the forefront of drone technology.

In addition, Fars News published a list of Israelis with backgrounds in Israel’s military and cyber warfare sectors in a report titled “Zionists who must live secretly.”

It said these people have been involved in acts of sabotage against Muslim countries and assassinating Axis of Resistance activists.

In a speech at a cultural event on Wednesday, Major General Salami said the Islamic Revolution has handled the confrontation with the foes in such a way that the enemy is currently stuck in lose-lose conditions.

The enemy will have to pay a cost if it chooses to stay and will feel the shame of escape if it runs away, the commander added.

“The enemy will break apart if it remains in Yemen, and will have fled if it leaves,” he said about the Saudi-led military campaign against Yemen.

The enemies of Iran have a sense of strategic frustration and suffer from political dementia, the general added.

Pointing to the failure of the enemy’s plot to impose an economic blockade on Iran, the IRGC commander said the Islamic Republic has also defeated the enemy’s psychological operations.

He went on to say that the U.S. has suffered a defeat even in employing tactics.

He also added that enemies could not contain Iran’s power.

Salami stated that the Islamic Republic had disappointed the enemies who imposed pressure on Iran.

The top general noted that the enemies wished to spoil the jihadi spirit among the Iranian youth. Still, the Iranian young people were aware, and the enemies did not know what strategic action to take.

He also called Iran’s Sacred Defense a role model for all Muslims to follow.

Pointing out that all capacities of a county are manifested during a war, Salami added that Iran’s Sacred Defense was the longest and the most unjust war in history.

Before the ceremony, 220 books on Sacred Defense were unveiled, and families of martyrs and veterans were honored.

The recombinant vaccine entered the stage of human trial after 16 months of research work by Iranian scientists.

The first dose of Noora vaccine was injected into the chief of Baqiyatallah Hospital Hossein Samadinia.

“It is noteworthy that a few universities in the world have been able to develop a vaccine against the virus, and it is a great honor for the Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences to be able to achieve this success,”

Samadinia said on the sidelines of the unveiling ceremony.

Iran is the sixth country in the world and the first country in West Asia to gain the ability to produce the Coronavirus vaccine. Presently, there are several companies and centers researching and developing domestic vaccines. Due to the fact that two of the domestic vaccines have successfully passed the clinical, safety, and efficacy trials, voluntarily receiving injections of them has started.

Homegrown vaccines

COVIRAN BAREKAT, the first coronavirus vaccine made by researchers at the Headquarters for Executing the Order of the Imam, which has received the license for public use on June 14.

The vaccine was unveiled on December 29, 2020, and started to be mass-produced on March 29.

The second Iranian-made vaccine developed by the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute (Razi Cov Pars) to be administered among the population in early August; which started the clinical trial on February 27, entered the second phase of the human trial.

The mass production will start with a capacity of 1 million doses per month by late September.

Iran has also successfully completed the first phase of the human trial for Fakhra vaccine, the third domestically developed COVID-19 vaccine, named after nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh (he was assassinated in

November 2020 near Tehran), that was unveiled and started the clinical trial on March 16.

The second phase of Fakhra vaccine’s human trial started on June 9 by being injected into 500 volunteers.

“Osvid-19”, the fourth domestic vaccine produced by Osvah Pharmaceutical Company is also undergoing human trials, which will also be available in early September.

On May 24, the first coronavirus vaccine made by the private sector in Iran succeeded in receiving the code of ethics and entered the phase of clinical studies.

Iranian air defense missile system “Khordad-3rd” that had shot down a sophisticated U.S. spy drone over the Persian Gulf was later put on display in Tehran during demonstrations marking the 42nd anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Missiles fired by the homegrown air defense system had brought down a U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton drone over the Persian Gulf in June 2019.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Forces fired one surface-to-air missile at the intruding U.S. aircraft after its stealth maneuvering in Iran’s airspace.

Khordad-3rd employs a phased array radar and can launch 8 missiles by tracking 4 targets simultaneously.

This was just a sample of Iran’s capabilities in defending its sky and defensive power and it also sounded warning to the West and especially to the U.S. that the Islamic Republic of Iran is unstoppable in making progress in any field of the military technologies.

Now two years after that amazing show of muscles to the U.S. forces, Iran has shown its magnificent progress in drone-manufacturing sector and the country itself has produced different advanced and sophisticated types of the drones which are both used in the military and civilian missions.

In 2020, Iran’s systems go from small, lightweight short-range drones all the way up through medium-to-heavy UAVs in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance roles (ISR).

Iran’s progress in drone industry has changed the balance of the power in confronting the enemies and the downing of the U.S. drone has made the Americans be concerned about any mess-up with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After shooting down of Global Hawk, Head of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) General Amir Ali Hajizadeh has said Iran is now among the top five countries in the world in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

“Today, after forty years since the Islamic Revolution, we have seen tremendous progress in many areas, especially drones and we are among the top five countries in the world in the field of UAVs,” he said.

Drone is not the only field Iran has progressed in it as the country has made very good progress in the field of radars, the downing of the MQ4 aircraft being an example.  Add these progresses to the missile power of the country, Iran is now the most powerful country in the region in the missile area.

After downing of the advanced U.S. drone, Hajizadeh said that enemies should learn a lesson and change their rhetoric toward the Iranian nation.

Over the past years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing military equipment and hardware despite sanctions and economic pressures on the country.

On Sunday Iran marked this strong reaction to the U.S. intrusion into its airspace and it was almost coincided with victory of Hojjatoleslam Seyed Ebrahim Raisi in the presidential election and now the country can see more progress in any sector especially in the defense programs because only with having strong defense and even attacking forces the country can repel threats and it is expected that by election of Raisi, Iran sees more progress in any component especially in drone industry as the country can turn into a drone exporting country.

Iran’s military force in the air, land and sea has made the country safe against any attack by the enemies and people should thank its dear sons in the Army,IRGC, scientists and experts for sacrificing their lives for guaranteeing security for the nation and repelling the probable attacks.
