In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Maria Saadeh said that the war against Syria is a full-fledged one in many aspects.

She stressed that the triangle of people, the army and the resistance in Syria have obtained many achievements and today the territorial integrity of Syria has been restored.

Saadeh noted that after 9 years of war against Syria, there is an economic crisis against the people that can be called economic terrorism.

She added that the West did its best to put the people under economic pressure to undermine the government, but today the Syrian people continue to live by taking the initiative and persist on their principles and will succeed in overcoming these pressures.

In my opinion, Syria today is paying the price for defending the axis of Resistance against Israel, said the Syrian diplomat.

Speaking to reporters upon arrival at Damascus International Airport, Larijani underlined the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries in the region.

“We will hold important consultations on issues of interest to the Syrians according to the circumstances and developments, in addition to discussing ways to develop the bilateral relations,” SANA quoted him as saying. He was received by the People’s Assembly Speaker Hammoudeh Sabbagh.

Speaker of the People’s Assembly, for his part facing Larijani, said in a statement that Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran have common ties, on top, fighting terrorism, conspiracy, Resistance Axis, and siege which are facing the two countries.

He affirmed that the victories achieved daily on the ground are clear evidence on the absolute victory of the strong will in the face of all of these conspiratorial projects.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, Larijani departed for Damascus on Sunday morning. He is scheduled to hold separate talks with Syrian officials in line with the plans to boost parliamentary ties between the two countries.
