Araghchi’s report on his trip to Iraq

TEHRAN (Iran News) Tehran – ISNA – In a post on Instagram, Araghchi presented a report of his Sunday meetings with the Iraqi authorities and wrote in this regard: In Baghdad as the first destination of the third round of the trip to the countries of the region I met and talked with Mr. Abdul Latif Rashid, the President of Iraq, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, and Fuad Hussein, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq.”

He stated that in these meetings, while presenting a general assessment of the previous 2 regional trips, they investigated the special and dangerous conditions in the region caused by the military adventure and the war crimes of the Zionist regime in the aggression against Lebanon and the genocide against the residents of Gaza and added: Furthermore I explained the responsible approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the security and stability of the region and considered that preventing the worsening of the security situation in West Asia requires an immediate halt to the war machine of the Zionist regime.

This high-ranking diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that in a joint press conference with his counterpart, he also emphasized achieving a common understanding between the countries of the region and the world on the need to immediately stop the war crimes of the Zionists, and said: Diplomacy with the aim of mobilizing the capacity of all the countries of the region and international organizations for dealing with the dangerous threats of the Zionist regime against the peace, stability and security of the entire region is actively in the field.”

ISNA previously reported that Araghchi, who has traveled to Muscat in the continuation of his regional consultations, will have a consultation meeting with the Foreign Minister of Oman on Monday. According to the published news, Araghchi will probably travel to Egypt and Jordan in the coming days to continue his regional consultations.
