Speaking at a daily press conference on Sunday, Iran Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said the number of cases tested positive for coronavirus across the country has risen to 402,029 after the detection of 2,089 new cases since yesterday.

Of the new cases detected over the past 24 hours, 956 patients have been admitted to the hospital, she added.

Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 3,791 coronavirus patients have critical health conditions, Lari noted.

The death toll from COVID-19 in Iran has reached 23,157, she said, noting that the disease has taken the lives of 128 patients over the past 24 hours.

At least 346,242 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran, the spokeswoman said.

Lari also noted that nearly 3,560,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has exceeded 28.9 million and the death toll has surpassed 925,000.

Speaking at a daily press conference on Sunday, Sima Sadat Lari put the death toll from the novel coronavirus in Iran at 19,639, saying the disease has taken the lives of 174 patients over the past 24 hours.

She also noted that at least 297,486 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across the country.

The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has risen to 343,203 following the detection of 2,133 new cases since Saturday noon, the spokeswoman added.

Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 4,881 patients have critical health conditions because of more severe infection, Lari noted.

She went on to say that more than 2,861,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 21.6 million and the death toll has exceeded 769,000.

Speaking at a daily press conference on Monday, Sima Sadat Lari put the death toll from the coronavirus in Iran at 11,731, saying the disease has taken the lives of 160 patients over the past 24 hours.

She also noted that at least 204,083 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across the country.

The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has risen to 243,051 following the detection of 2,613 new cases since Sunday noon, the spokeswoman added.

Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 3,201 patients have critical health conditions, Lari noted.

She went on to say that more than 1,820,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 11.5 million and the death toll has exceeded 537,000.
