										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – Commander of Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier-General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said on Tuesday if there are 20 radar manufacturing countries in the world, Iran is definitely among the top 10 states.</p>

<p>The commander stressed the coverage overlap of the IRGC’s radars and radars of Iran’s Army is a huge military achievement, IRNA reported.</p>
<p>Brigadier-General Hajizadeh made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony to join the homegrown Ghadir radar system to Iran’s air defense force network in the central province of Yazd.</p>
<p>According to the commander, those radars are able to detect stealth flying objects as far as 350 km and their range may increase to 1,000 km depending on the height of the flying object.</p>
<p>He also said that the Iranian merits are able to provide the operational forces of the country with whatever radar needed.</p>
<p>He added that another radar will be established in Chabahar, southeastern Iran, to increase the number of such class systems to eight.</p>
<p>The Ghadir radar system was first unveiled by the IRGC in 2013. Eight of them have since been installed across the country.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – Commander of Army Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard unveiled two new radar projects dubbed &#8220;Soroush&#8221; and &#8220;Misagh&#8221; on Thursday.</p>

<p>According to Sabahifard, the Soroush project is a medium-range detection and search radar with a range of more than 220 km, which is able to detect low cross-sectional targets at low altitude using semiconductor technology.</p>
<p>“The domestic Soroush radar can carry out missions in all weather conditions. It is capable of withstanding electronic warfare and has high mobility,” he noted.</p>
<p>He went on to say that the Misagh project is capable of combining data received from primary and secondary radars and other target detection sensors and sending them to the integrated air defense network with high accuracy and speed.</p>
<p>“Misagh radar is able to receive, process, and integrate information with a very high data processing capacity and the system does not need any operator,” he added.</p>

<p>In a ceremony in Tehran, Air Defense Commander Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard unveiled ‘Kashef-99’ radar.</p>
<p>The homegrown device is a 3D phased-array radar system that is carried on a vehicle, suitable for detecting small aircraft and objects.</p>
<p>Kashef-99 can detect 300 targets simultaneously within a range of 12 kilometers.</p>
<p>A few days ago, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei commended the Iranian Air Defense forces for their contribution to national security, saying, “The country owes its security to Air Defense’ preparedness and wakefulness.”</p>
<p>Iran has in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of military equipment, including air defense systems that use cutting edge technologies.</p>
<p>Tehran has repeatedly stated that its military might is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.</p>

<p>The advanced radar system named “Afaq” (horizons) was put on display during a ceremony on Monday with Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami in attendance.</p>
<p>Speaking at the ceremony, Brigadier General Hatami hailed the production of the radar system and said it was developed thanks to the endeavors of domestic experts at the Defense Ministry.</p>
<p>He also said the radar is capable of monitoring and tracking vessels at a distance of up to 200 kilometers, adding that it can also track aerial targets.</p>
<p>Iran has in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of military equipment, including air defense systems that use cutting-edge technologies.</p>
<p>Tehran has repeatedly stated that its military might is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3 class="lead">TEHRAN  &#8211; Russia will complete the creation of a network of the Voronez early warning radars by 2019, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Space Forces, Col. Gen. Alexander Golovko, told reporters on Wednesday.</h3>

<p>&#8220;Work continues to create new radars of the missile attack warning system in the Republic of Komi and the Murmansk Region,&#8221; the official said on the occasion of the Space Forces Day, celebrated in Russia on October 4. &#8220;We plan to complete the network of the new Voronezh radar stations on the territory of the Russian Federation in 2019.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said the Russian Space Forces view the project as one of its top priorities, TASS news agency reported.</p>
<p>Currently, the new-generation Voronezh radars are on combat duty in the Leningrad, Kaliningrad and Irkutsk Regions, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory.</p>
<p>State trials of similar radars in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Altai Territory and the Orenburg Region have been completed. They will enter combat duty once their trial run period is over, which is expected by the end of the year.</p>
<p>The Russian Space Forces Day is celebrated in Russia annually on October 4 and marks the launch of the Earth’s first artificial satellite, carried out by the Soviet Union in 1957.</p>
