TEHRAN (Iran News) During an open session of the Parliament on Sunday, Qalibaf said Lieutenant General Soleimani, who was assassinated by the US government in 2020, spent more than four decades of his life fighting the aggressor enemy and terrorist groups.

“The path of this great martyr will continue until the liberation of the Holy al-Quds and the elimination of the evil of the Zionist regime,” he said, adding that the general’s presence anywhere was a source of calm and confidence in the face of threats.

Referring to nationwide ceremonies marking the fifth anniversary of General Soleimani’s martyrdom, Qalibaf said, “I sincerely appreciate the grateful Iranian nation, especially the noble and martyr-rearing people of Kerman Province, who paid tribute to General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, the symbol and hero of the fight against terrorism and the flag-bearer of the Resistance Front, on the anniversary of his martyrdom.”

General Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), as well as their companions were assassinated in a US drone strike authorized by then-US president Donald Trump near the Iraqi capital Baghdad’s International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Quds Day, officially known as International Quds Day is an annual pro-Palestinian event held on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan to express support for Palestinians and oppose Israel and Zionism and it was initiated by the Late Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, on August 7, 1979.

Since then the Islamic Republic of Iran has been the flag-bearer of commemorating the day by holding rallies in support of Palestinians and Quds and gradually other Muslim nations and even justice and freedom seekers worldwide have joined the camp in support of Palestinians and liberation of the occupied lands and Al-Aqsa Mosque from the claws of Israelis.

But this year the Quds Day was held while the world equation has changed in favor of Palestine and it seems the rallies are working and people worldwide are getting aware of the atrocities of the Zionists against the Palestinians and liberation of the occupied land is gradually coming true in case Muslims in the world remain united.

Iranians as previous years  held massive rallies to show that they have not forgotten the principles of the Islamic Revolution and support of Palestine against the Zionists despite negative propagation of the enemies.

This year’s rallies come amid simmering tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories and attacks on worshippers in the al-Aqsa Mosque. However, demonstrators in Tehran said Israel is on the verge of destruction as it is facing growing resistance from Palestinians.

Demonstrators in Tehran also demanded the liberation of Palestine and called on countries across the world to boycott the Israeli regime.

Iranians once again showed their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. By taking to the streets every year, they let Palestinians know that they are not alone in their fight against the occupiers of their lands.

Every year when Quds Day is approaching, the Zionist forces get headache and step up security measures against the Palestinians but Palestinian people give no heed to bullets and force of the Zionists and hold the rallies and even gather at Al-Aqsa Mosque to show the Zionists they are determined to take back the occupied lands from the claws of the Zionists and it will happen sooner or later but it is just a matter of time.

Israel is currently facing collapse from both inside and outside and it will make easier the task of the Palestinians to take back their lands but Palestinians need more support from Muslims worldwide especially from Arab and Muslim governments otherwise the Zionist regime is emboldened to commit more crimes through normalization of ties with Arab states.

Israel is getting more isolated in the world and Arab governments should not help this regime to survive and normalization of ties with this blood-sucking regime will be a serious threat even for the future of their own governments.

On Friday many people worldwide and in Iran marked the Quds Day by holding massive rallies in support of the Palestinian cause while the Quds Day is one of the initiatives of the Islamic Republic which has been welcomed by the freedom-loving and independence-seeking people in the world.

On Friday one of senior Iranian military men revealed one of the most important achievements against the Zionist regime which shows that the Islamic Republic forces have full dominance on the Zionist and they have been unable to stop Iran’s progress and influence.

The head of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Friday hailed a successful operation by two unidentified drones over the Israeli-occupied territories, which the usurping Tel Aviv regime tried to keep secret.

Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani was giving a speech in the northeastern city of Mashhad in commemoration of the International Quds Day on the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

Qa’ani said the successful operation was conducted several months ago.

During the operation, he said, the “Zionist entity sent 41 fighter jets and reconnaissance aircraft to The IRGC official stressed that the drone operation put Israel on “high alert,” but the Zionist regime “did not disclose the truth of what happened,” and then lied to its people by claiming to have conducted surprise drills.

“The regime was not man enough to tell the truth about the drone operation, where the drones came from, who they belonged to and what they were supposed to do,” Qa’ani said. “They lied to their own people; they said they were conducting drills.”

Elsewhere in his speech on Friday, Qa’ani said the glorious Quds Day commemoration would continue until all the Zionists were eliminated and that the resistance front would day by day become stronger more than ever before until the demise of the occupying regime.

In September 2021, Israel’s minister of military affairs acknowledged Iran’s drone power, saying the Islamic Republic is in possession of “accurate” and “destructive” drones that can cross thousands of kilometers.

In an article published in July the same year, the Ha’aretz newspaper said, “Tehran’s growing use of drones reflects an old Iranian ethos of combining technological progress with self-reliance.”

These are just few confessions of the Zionist regime officials to the power of the Islamic Republic which is growing more than ever.

Last week according to some reports, Iran had warned Israel that it was in possession of intelligence on the locations of all its nuclear weapons sites, and that the country’s Armed Forces will strike the sensitive targets in the occupied territories in the event of any aggression against the Islamic Republic.

“Tehran had sent to Israel, through a European country, photos and maps of the Israeli nuclear weapons stores,” Qatar’s Al Jazeera television news network quoted an unnamed Iranian source as saying.

“Most of the pictures are terrestrial and not satellite,” the report said, suggesting that other forms of intelligence gathering rather than surveillance drones had been involved.

The source said Tehran confirmed that it would target the regime’s stores and facilities if Israel decided to ignite a war with Iran. Israel has previously changed the locations of its strategic warehouses, but the file sent by Tehran included the locations of the new stores, it added.

“Tehran red flagged all chemical, biological and nuclear weapons storages and facilities of Israel and that they will be the first targets, in case Israel decides to start a war with Iran,” the source added.

The report once again showed how the Islamic Republic has improved its intelligence regarding its enemy No. One in the region and it is fully ready to give a proper response to any mischief of this savage and fake regime of Israel.

As Qa’ani said in his speech, “It is better for the Zionists to return to their original homelands in Europe or any other place from which they came before it is too late. Israel is heading towards extinction.”

Addressing the 3rd International Conference on American Human Rights from the Viewpoint of the Supreme Leader, Majid Tafreshi condemned the instrumental use of the human rights issue by the Americans and the U.S. resorting to terrorist acts against other nations and stressed that the US terrorist violation of Human Rights is not limited to the Iranian borders, as Afghanistan, too, for instance, is a live example, has been suffering from U.S. criminal acts that have led to the International Court of Justice preliminary investigations.

Tafreshi said that in the winter of 2019 the International Court of Justice at Hague issued a decree according to which its prosecutor can investigate the claims made about the war crimes probably committed by American forces in Afghanistan.

The decree in question faced the negative reaction of the then U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who called it “irresponsible and amazing”, and said the U.S. feels no obligation for accepting the decree issued by the “so-called” International Court of Justice. But Judge Pioter Homovski, the head of the criminal branch of the International Court of Justice voted that the investigation decree issued at Hague is quite authentic and applicable.

The deputy head of Iranian Human Rights Headquarters said that Popeo’s calling that decree amazing and warding off responsivity from the United States was followed by America’s sponsoring of an Afghanistan peace conference to pretend that the situation is quite normal and no crimes had been committed.

He said that the U.S. efforts to go unpunished in that respect was contrary to the comments made by Amnesty International’s Solomon Sako on the new decree by the International Court of Justice and the adopted decision to defend the rights of the victims of the war crimes who described it as a historical moment for the human society and safeguarding the human rights.

Today 13,000 U.S. soldiers are escaping from Afghanistan fearing the decree issued by the International Court of Justice become operational.

America is not a member of that court, the official added, because it fears that its soldiers would be brought to justice around the globe for their anti-human rights behaviors.

He said that during the past 18 years more than 32,000 civilians have been massacred in Afghanistan, which reveals the true picture of American-style human rights.

The deputy head of Iranian Human Rights Headquarters said that the illegal recognition of the Holy Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital city of the usurper Zionist regime by the former U.S. President Donald Trump was contrary to the entire international rules and regulations and will of the international community, and has thus far led to the martyrdom of over 60,000 Palestinians.

As a result, we can say that the opening of the US Embassy in Holy Quds was the bloodiest opening in the history of the diplomatic ties and at the international scene, he added.

Palestinians had gathered to rally against Israel’s ethnic cleansing campaign of their neighborhood in the holy city. However, they were met by tear gas and stun grenades, the attacks left at least 20 Palestinians injured, while at least two others have been arrested.

The Israeli occupation has been trying, for an extensive period now, to force the indigenous people out of their land. On Saturday evening, the regime used similar force against another protest in the neighborhood. These are the latest in a series of demonstrations by Palestinian residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood to remain in the homes they have lived in for decades. It has been reported that the latest flare up of tensions came after Israeli regime forces tried to storm the al-Kurd family home in the same neighborhood. The family’s two siblings Mohammed and Muna al-Kurd have already been arrested once. The teenage activists are behind a social media campaign raising awareness about Israeli efforts to forcibly remove the inhabitants of the neighborhood.

Last month, The Palestinian resistance in the besieged Gaza Strip declared it will not leave the residents of Sheikh Jarrah alone. In May, tensions in the area coincided with Israeli troops storming the al-Aqua mosque compound and the Mosque itself in occupied Jerusalem al-Quds. Staying true to their word, the resistance retaliated with a barrage of missiles towards Israeli settlements in retaliation.

Israel responded by pounding Gaza in an 11 day war that many experts say the Palestinians resistance won and changed the equations on the ground. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a Palestinian intelligence officer was killed after being attacked by Israeli settlers in the Northern occupied West Bank city of Nablus. Israeli settler attacks have increased  since new Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett took office earlier this month.

On Thursday and in a ceremony Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unveiled three important and strategic products in the fields of unmanned aerial vehicle and air defense system.

The super heavy combat drone, named Gaza, the “9th of Dey” surface-to-air missile system and the “Qods” radar system were unveiled on Friday during a ceremony attended by the IRGC Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami and the IRGC Aerospace Division Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh.

Gaza is a wide-body drone manufactured by Iranian experts that can carry out various surveillance, combat and reconnaissance missions with flight duration of 35 hours.

It is capable of carrying 13 bombs in a range of 2,000 kilometers in combat missions. The new drone can also carry 500 kilograms of various reconnaissance and signal and intelligence equipment.

After joining the IRCG Aerospace Division’s drone fleet, it will improve the force’s intelligence command and capability to counter the enemies’ threats.

In addition to military and defense applications, the Gaza drone can also carry out missions in monitoring forests, rescue operations and providing assistance in natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes.

The IRGC also unveiled the complete domestically-manufactured surface-to-air missile system, named the 9th of Dey, which has the capability to confront and destroy various threats at a close range such as cruise missiles, aircraft bombs, and different drones.

The Qods radar system has the capability to be deployed in a position and moved quickly.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great progress in indigenously developing and manufacturing a broad range of equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in this regard.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the Islamic Republic will not hesitate to build up its defense capabilities, emphasizing such abilities are entirely meant for the purpose of defense and will be never subject to negotiations.

While Western countries and especially enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran are wary of Iran’s progress in producing different types of missiles, the country has advanced in producing other types of its weapons in order to cut fully its independence to the aliens.

The Iranian Army Ground Force also unveiled a number of new military products, including a radar warning system and a micro turbojet engine to show the world that Iran will not stop in improving its weapons and any other required equipment.

Late last month, the Iranian Army Ground Force unveiled seven domestically-developed high-tech military achievements, including air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and electronic warfare devices.

The IRGC in November unveiled a smart automated system which can launch multiple long-range ballistic missiles consecutively.

While Iran is strengthening its military and even its attacking powers, the West is trying to confine its power amid different pretexts. The U.S. and Europeans are trying to confine Iran’s missile power and program by pushing it to sign more JCPOAs but they have forgotten this fact that The Islamic Republic of Iran has found the way of progress and self-sufficiency in the military equipment products and it will definitely find ways for solving other problems without reliance on the foreigners.

A video of a 10-year-old Palestinian girl in besieged Gaza has captured worldwide attention after she urged people to remember that “children are dying” in Israeli airstrikes.

Nadeen Abed al Lateef told journalists on Sunday, on one of the deadliest days in the attacks: “We’re just dying. We don’t even deserve this.”

Wearing a purple shirt, and standing with her six-year-old brother in rubble, the schoolgirl told NBC News: “The American people, stop giving, stop giving weapons to the occupiers. That’s the way that you can help us.”

More than 200 people are estimated to have died in the impoverished city of Gaza following repeated Israeli airstrikes, including 61 children.

The area is a 140-square mile strip of land housing 2 million people that has been under Israeli blockade since 2007.

Nadeen said that the situation makes her “want to cry” when she sees so many frightened people.

The 10-year-old wants to be a doctor but said that her school shut down and that online teaching stopped because of the attacks.

“We are literally trying to live in rubbish but we can’t,” she said.

“When I grow up I want to be a doctor to help my people but I can’t. There’s no learning. I don’t have a right to learn because of the occupiers. My right to learn is gone.”

On Tuesday clashes broke out in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank following a day of protests against the bombardment of Gaza, as reported by The Guardian.

According to Press TV, elite footballers Paul Pogba and Amado Diallo from the professional British club Manchester United have shown their support for Palestinians amid the Israeli regime’s relentless bombardment campaign against the besieged Gaza Strip.

Following their team’s 1-1 draw against Fulham at Old Trafford on Tuesday, Manchester United midfielder Pogba collected and raised a Palestine flag and was joined by teammate Amado to express their support for the people living in the besieged coastal enclave.

The move was welcomed by Palestinians.

The Palestinian ambassador to the United Kingdom, Husam Zomlot, thanked the pair in a post published on his official Twitter page, expressing hope that one day the footballer could be invited to the liberated Palestinian capital Jerusalem al-Quds.

The gesture of support came just days after Leicester City stars Hamza Choudhury and Wesley Fofana held up the Palestinian flag as they celebrated their team’s victory over Chelsea at London’s Wembley Stadium in the UK’s FA Cup final on Saturday.

Images of the moment were shared widely on social media, with many quick to praise the two players.

Zomlot welcomed the show of support and said it was “timely and appreciated.”

Haniyeh described the brutal crimes of the Zionist occupiers against Al-Quds, the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, Al-Aqsa Mosque, Gaza and the 1948 occupied territories, according to the Palestinian Information Center.

In the letter, Haniyeh stated that due to the escalation of the aggression and crimes of the occupying regime against the Palestinian people and sanctities, “we established extensive contacts with various parties and asked them to prevent the advancement of the enemy’s crimes and sinister goals and warned that these crimes will certainly not go unanswered by the Palestinian people and Resistance.”

He stated that the insistence of the criminal leaders of the Zionist regime on continuing their aggression against the nation, the land and the sanctities of Palestine, required a decisive and legitimate response by the Resistance in the Gaza Strip.

Haniyeh noted that today the criminal enemy, with the deadliest internationally banned weapons, commits the most barbaric crimes against the people of Gaza around the clock, as well as the most heinous crimes against the demonstrators in al-Quds (Jerusalem), the West Bank and the 1948 occupied territories.

Haniyeh pointed out that in the face of these incessant crimes, “we call for immediate action and mobilization of Islamic, Arab and international positions in order to take decisive positions and force the Zionist enemy to stop its crimes against the besieged people of Gaza, to stop any aggression against the residents of Jerusalem and its sanctities, and to put an end to any aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian worshipers inside it.”

This was the second letter sent by the chief of Hamas Political Bureau to the Leader in about ten days.

Haniyeh also spoke by phone with the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at the start of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. He briefed the Iranian foreign minister on the latest situation in the occupied territories and the usurping Zionist regime’s attacks against Palestinians as well as the Palestinian people who are resisting with all their power.

During the phone call, Haniyeh also asked Foreign Minister Zarif for Iran’s support for the Palestinian people’s resistance.

The Iranian foreign minister, in turn, reaffirmed Iran’s solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, and condemned the usurping and brutish Zionist regime’s measures against the fasting people of Palestine as well as its attack against Al-Aqsa Mosque and martyring and wounding defenseless worshippers.

Zarif reiterated Iran’s all-out support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause.

He also briefed Haniyeh on his consultations with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on supporting the Palestinian people’s resistance at the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

A few hours earlier, Zarif had spoken with his Turkish counterpart about the latest status of the Holy Quds and the developments in the occupied territories.

The OIC held a virtual emergency meeting of foreign ministers on Sunday. During the meeting, Zarif said, “We witness the most heinous crimes being perpetrated against our brothers and sisters by Zionist forces in occupied Palestine.”

Zarif noted, “Innocent men, women and children are being massacred by the deadliest and most sophisticated weapons. Homes are being demolished while their residents are trapped inside. Whatever remains of the infrastructure in Gaza—including power and water supply—is effectively destroyed. We are facing blatant and systematic violations of human rights, humanitarian law and international law.”

He added, “The massacre of Palestinian children today follows the purported ‘normalization.’ This criminal and genocidal regime has once again proven that friendly gestures only aggravate its atrocities. The sole aim of Israel’s hypocritical gestures is to divide Muslims and isolate the people of Palestine. Make no mistake: Israel only understands the language of resistance and the people of Palestine are fully entitled to the right to defend themselves and to defy the bullying of this racist regime. These barbaric acts have proven once again that the only peaceful path to peace in Palestine is the holding of a referendum among all residents of Palestine, including displaced Palestinians and refugees.”

The chief Iranian diplomat also said that the Palestinian question is not only an Arab or Islamic issue, but also an international dilemma. He said the international community has a duty to stop the Israeli atrocities.

“It must not be forgotten that Palestine is not only an Arab or Islamic issue, but also an international dilemma. The crimes committed against the innocent Palestinian people over decades weigh heavy on the conscience of humanity. The international community, therefore, has a duty to condemn the Israeli regime in the strongest terms and compel it to end the destruction and siege of Gaza,” the foreign minister pointed out.

On Saturday, an official with Iran’s Judiciary Branch reacted to the silence and inactivity of some Arab countries in the face of Zionists’ crimes and violation of human rights in the occupied lands specially Gaza.

Ali Bagheri Kani, Secretary-General of Iran’s Human Rights Office took to Twitter to criticize Zionists’ crimes in the occupied lands specially Gaza. He also reacted to the silence and inactivity of some Arab countries in the face of such inhuman crimes.

Holding an extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is the slightest thing that Islamic governments can do for the oppressed Palestinian people, said Bagheri in his tweet.

Today, the Arab states who stabbed Islamic Ummah in the back and extended a hand of friendship to the criminals under the pretext of peace, are responsible for the blood of children and the cries of the Palestinians who are helpless.

Referring to his meeting with the Syrian envoy, he said, “Today, the coalition of resistance is stronger and the Zionist regime is weaker than ever, I told in a meeting with the Syrian envoy.”

Meanwhile the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada said the so-called advocates of human rights who keep silent on Israel’s brutality against the Palestinian people are complicit in the Tel Aviv regime’s war crimes.

“Unfortunately, silence of the so-called advocates of human rights in the face of the Zionists’ barbaric attacks and massacre of the defenseless Palestinian people, particularly women and children, indicates their complicity in war crimes,” the conference’s secretariat said in a statement.

But these statements are not enough for stopping the Zionists from committing their crimes and they savagely attack Gaza Strip and destroy the infrastructures and kill the innocent civilians.

The Palestinian resistance fighters have been responding to Israel’s aggression through massive barrages of rockets and missiles and they have also brought drones into the equation but it is not enough by itself.

The world community and especially Muslims should come to the rescue of the Palestinian people who are losing their lives by the Israeli air attacks. Any passivity will lead to more crimes in Palestine. Unfortunately world powers have been passive in stopping Israel from such a crime and they just, in their telephone calls with Israeli officials, call for self-restraint while the Zionists are themselves the culprit of the crime and they should be accounted for recent conflict in the region which has led to the loss of at least 150 Palestinians.

Bagheri Kani in his statement and referring to his meeting with the Syrian envoy, said, “Today, the coalition of resistance is stronger and the Zionist regime is weaker than ever, I told in a meeting with the Syrian envoy.”

Referring to the stray Syrian missiles hit near the most sensitive Zionist center (Dimona),  Bagheri Kani said that the Zionists know that if the Resistance uses guided missiles the situation would be worse.

According to Bagheri Kani the only way to stop the Zionists is the language of force and Muslims’ unity and no one can stop the Zionists through dialogue unless the Zionists feel the serious threat of Palestinians and Muslims’ firm reactions.

Muslim states should put aside their fear and passivity and take a practical action for saving the Palestinians and for the liberation of occupied lands from the Zionists’ claws, otherwise these atrocities will never end and Israeli forces can continue their crimes under the world arrogance support whenever they wish.

Now Muslims are seeing the true animal nature of Zionists and will realize how bad and dangerous the normalization of ties with Israel has been for the region.

The Islamic Republic has supported and will continue support for the Palestinian people and their resistance in the face of relentless acts of aggression and crimes by the Zionist enemy in the Holy Quds and the Gaza Strip and other Muslim states should join the Iran’s camp in supporting the Palestinians.

Thousands of people in New York, London, Karachi and other cities across the world gathered to protest against Israeli attacks on Gaza and the regime’s use of force against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

Protesters in big cities and on social media alike carried banners and used hashtags such as “Free Palestine” and “Gaza under Attack” to condemn Israeli atrocities.

UN Middle East peace envoy Tor Wennesland warned of a “full-scale war,” urging both sides to work for de-escalation.

“Stop the fire immediately. We’re escalating towards a full-scale war,” Wennesland tweeted on Wednesday morning.

“The cost of war in Gaza is devastating & is being paid by ordinary people. UN is working w/ all sides to restore calm. Stop the violence now,” Wennesland added.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks against Palestinians and renewed its pledge to support the Palestinian people.

In a statement carried by Al-Quds Al-Arabi, the OIC said it strongly denounced Israel’s continuation of its “colonialist plans” via forced expulsions of Palestinians from their homes to build new illegal Israeli settlements.

The Arab Parliament is also slated to hold an emergency meeting hosted by the UAE on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Jerusalem al-Quds and the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Representatives of Arab parliaments will give speeches during the virtual meeting.

Seyyed Hashem Safieddine, head of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah’s Executive Council, hailed the “spirit of resistance” witnessed in Palestine amid the ongoing struggle in al-Quds, the West Bank and other areas of the occupied territories.

Speaking with Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television channel, Safieddine also commended efforts made by Iran’s martyred commander Qassem Soleimani, saying the strength shown by Palestinians against Israel’s criminal activities is partly the outcome of measures taken by Iran’s IRGC Quds Force under the command of General Soleimani.

He stressed that the power of resistance in Palestine, as shown by the storm of rockets raining on the Israeli regime, is far greater than the enemy assumed.

Iran slams US for shielding Israel

Top officials in Iran have also strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s continuous acts of aggression, while also hinting at the regime’s desperation in the face of Palestinian people’s resistance.

Iranian Ambassador to the UN Majid Takht Ravanchi said the “racist nature” of the Apartheid regime amounts to continued injustice.

He railed against the United States for shielding Israel at the UN and urging the UN Security Council to not remain indifferent to the atrocities.

“Continuous attacks on Palestine by Israeli regime have resulted in death & injury of many innocent Palestinians,” Takht Ravanchi said in a tweet early on Wednesday.

Iran’s chief security official, Ali Shamkhani, likened Israel’s so-called Iron Dome to a spider’s web that collapsed as soon as the Palestinian resistance groups fired their rockets at the regime.

“The spider’s web that the Zionists claimed was made of iron collapsed with Palestinian rockets,” Shamkhani tweeted. “The revolutionary youth of Palestine expanded the battlefield to the heart of the occupied territories by shifting the security equations.”

US sustains support for Israeli crimes

As the world awakens to the Israeli regime’s acts of savagery, Washington has sustained its full support for Israel, condemning Palestinians defending their land in an asymmetrical war waged by the regime in Tel Aviv.

In a tweet on Wednesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken referred to the exchange of fire, saying he spoke with his Israeli counterpart, Gabi Ashkenazi, about the “ongoing situation in Israel including rocket fire emanating from the Gaza Strip.”

Blinken, however, failed to condemn the Israeli bombardments targeting civilians in Gaza.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price underlined Israel’s “right to defend itself” and called on Israelis and Palestinians to exercise restraint in order to reach a state of calm.

“Israel has the right to defend itself and to respond to rocket attacks,” Price said at the beginning of a press briefing on Tuesday.

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan conveyed US President Joe Biden’s “unwavering support for Israel’s security and for its legitimate right to defend itself and its people, while protecting civilians”, during a conversation with his Israeli counterpart Meir Ben-Shabbat.

As expected, White House press secretary Jen Psaki also condemned the “ongoing rocket attacks by Hamas and other terrorist groups” and called for de-escalation.

Meanwhile, US congresswomen Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar – among others – have voiced their concern over Israel’s use of force against Palestinians and the regime’s heavy bombardment of Gaza.

“I see some who were silent as Palestinians were ripped from their homes and tear gassed in their holiest mosques now finding their voices – to stand with the Israeli gov as airstrikes leave Palestinian children dead. Where are your voices when Palestinians are under threat?” Talib wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
