If you do not stand against rude people and give due response, they will be emboldened and will continue their rudeness like what former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is now doing with his rude and arrogant remarks after committing crimes when he was in power.

Pompeo is one of the culprits in assassination of beloved martyr General Qasem Soleimani and he will not be able to escape punishment due his accomplice in assassination of Martyr Soleimani but he is still rude enough to defend U.S. Administration’s terrorist act.

On Friday, Pompeo said the reason why his country assassinated top Iranian anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Soleimani was to protect American resources.

Pompeo was speaking with Saudi news network, Al Arabiya, saying the U.S. murdered General Soleimani to safeguard its assets in Iraq, its people in Syria and, in fact, Americans all across the world.

He claimed the assassination was an opportunity to stop what he called an imminent attack on U.S. positions.

“General Soleimani was engaged in a plot to kill another 500 Americans. We had the opportunity to take down that plot, and we did,” he said.

“It was a project that we had been engaged in continuously and then we had this opportunity to stop what was an imminent attack on U.S. resources, U.S. assets, U.S. people and … the president made the decision to just do that.”

Of course, he is right to speak boldly because the U.S. State Department has said it’s paying more than $2 million per month to provide 24-hour security to him and a former top aide to protect them from Iran’s retaliation.

But he should know that he will not be able to escape punishment and sooner or later it will happen and the nuclear talks will also have nothing to do with the fate of his punishment.

American intelligence officials later affirmed that there was no such evidence as to the involvement of General Soleimani’s plan for an attack on U.S. forces.

Pompeo like most of the American statesmen used to tell lies as he is on record to have admitted to an audience in 2019, “I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated and we stole. We’ve a training course just for that.” “It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment,” he said at College Station, Texas.

Quds Force chief Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani has said, “Martyr Soleimani had repeatedly humiliated Pompeo in the region and they thought they won by assassinating him.”

Reacting to Pompeo’s nonsenses, Zeinab Soleimani, the charismatic commander’s daughter, lauded his father’s battle against Takfiri terrorist groups in the West Asia region, pointing to U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s admission of Gen. Soleimani’s counter-terrorism achievements.

“Pompeo whines about Iran on Saudi TV. Home of 9/11 plotters. Jake Sullivan said Al-Qaeda ‘is on our side in Syria,’ but Soleimani crushed the terrorists,” Zeinab wrote.

“Iraq’s Adil Abdul Mahdi said he & dad were to meet that morning to explore regional de-escalation,” she added, referring to Iraq’s former prime minister. “Live in fear liar.”

But Iran’s retaliation over the U.S. assassination of General Soleimani is not linked to other issues like the JCPOA, and those involved in the crime will undoubtedly be punished.

Pompeo has been hiding under a very heavy escort of bodyguards, wherever he goes and he actually lives in fear like the other culprits of this crime.

Pompeo’s life is one of the reasons that the U.S. has asked Iran to forget about its promised retaliation on General Soleimani’s assassination but Americans should know this fact that there will be no deal on Martyr Soleimani and his assassinators should be punished.

Iran has released a list of 66 culprits, some of them have already paid the price according to some media outlets in the region, and the rest are standing on the list, and there’s no doubt about that.

Pompeo and other 66 culprits should wait for punishment and Americans cannot tie the fate of the nuclear program and the JCPOA to the fate of these 66 culprits because Iranians are resolved to bring those culprits to the justice in order that other Americans or aggressors do not dare to repeat such crimes.

So the countdown has begun for punishment of culprits and the more they act rudely, the more they will be unable to escape punishment because as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeated the era of the hit-and-run has ended and now it is time for Pompeo and his colleagues to suffer the hit and they are better to stop boasting and talking against Martyr Soleimani and brave Iranian fighters who are ready to sacrifice their lives for any inch of their country and bringing down the aggressors.

America Responsible for Its Criminal Acts

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Deputy Head of Iranian Human Rights Headquarters said on Saturday that the US crimes against humanity at the international scene must not go unpunished, stressing that the American government must be held accountable for its criminal acts.

Addressing the 3rd International Conference on American Human Rights from the Viewpoint of the Supreme Leader, Majid Tafreshi condemned the instrumental use of the human rights issue by the Americans and the U.S. resorting to terrorist acts against other nations and stressed that the US terrorist violation of Human Rights is not limited to the Iranian borders, as Afghanistan, too, for instance, is a live example, has been suffering from U.S. criminal acts that have led to the International Court of Justice preliminary investigations.

Tafreshi said that in the winter of 2019 the International Court of Justice at Hague issued a decree according to which its prosecutor can investigate the claims made about the war crimes probably committed by American forces in Afghanistan.

The decree in question faced the negative reaction of the then U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who called it “irresponsible and amazing”, and said the U.S. feels no obligation for accepting the decree issued by the “so-called” International Court of Justice. But Judge Pioter Homovski, the head of the criminal branch of the International Court of Justice voted that the investigation decree issued at Hague is quite authentic and applicable.

The deputy head of Iranian Human Rights Headquarters said that Popeo’s calling that decree amazing and warding off responsivity from the United States was followed by America’s sponsoring of an Afghanistan peace conference to pretend that the situation is quite normal and no crimes had been committed.

He said that the U.S. efforts to go unpunished in that respect was contrary to the comments made by Amnesty International’s Solomon Sako on the new decree by the International Court of Justice and the adopted decision to defend the rights of the victims of the war crimes who described it as a historical moment for the human society and safeguarding the human rights.

Today 13,000 U.S. soldiers are escaping from Afghanistan fearing the decree issued by the International Court of Justice become operational.

America is not a member of that court, the official added, because it fears that its soldiers would be brought to justice around the globe for their anti-human rights behaviors.

He said that during the past 18 years more than 32,000 civilians have been massacred in Afghanistan, which reveals the true picture of American-style human rights.

The deputy head of Iranian Human Rights Headquarters said that the illegal recognition of the Holy Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital city of the usurper Zionist regime by the former U.S. President Donald Trump was contrary to the entire international rules and regulations and will of the international community, and has thus far led to the martyrdom of over 60,000 Palestinians.

As a result, we can say that the opening of the US Embassy in Holy Quds was the bloodiest opening in the history of the diplomatic ties and at the international scene, he added.

Pompeo and his wife misused State Department funds

TEHRAN (Iran News) – A US government watchdog has found that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his wife Susan misused State Department funds by having staff carrying out personal tasks more than 100 times.

Pompeo and his wife asked employees in the Office of the Secretary to carry out tasks such as “picking up personal items, planning events unrelated to the Department’s mission, and conducting such personal business as pet care and mailing personal Christmas cards,” the State Department’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) said in the report, which was published on Friday.

Pompeo served former Republican President Donald Trump’s last secretary of state until January 20, when the winner of the 2020 disputed election, Joe Biden, a Democrat, sworn in as the new US president.

The finding is a blow for Pompeo who is seen as among a few of Republicans planning to run for the 2024 presidential election.

“The Pompeos made over 100 requests to employees in the office of the secretary to conduct work that appeared to be personal in nature,” found the investigation, which was launched in October 2019 in response to a complaint that Pompeo and his wife were misusing State Department’s funds for personal purposes.

According to the report, Susan Pompeo also once requested an aide to make two hair salon appointments for her. On another occasion, an under secretary of state appeared to help the Pompeos’ son secure a discount for a hotel room.

The watchdog said it had completed most of its fieldwork on the report by August 2020 but its complication was delayed because Pompeo refused to cooperate with the OIG until December last year.

A State Department spokesman said the agency concurred with “all the recommendations (in the report) and will proceed to implement them.”

China at UN Dismisses Pompeo Remarks about JCPOA Commitments

TEHRAN (Iran News) – China’s UN Ambassador Zhang Jun called recent remarks made by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo against Iran unilateral, re-emphasizing the fact that the US’s departure from the JCPOA took away all of its rights to benefit from the agreement in any way.

“China is committed to upholding the efficacy of the JCPOA and the authority of the Security Council resolution, and will make relentless efforts toward the political solution of the Iranian nuclear issue,” Jun said in a letter addressed to the UNSC on Monday.

Stressing that the US is no longer a JCPOA participant, he said, “Therefore, it is illegitimate for the United States to demand the Security Council invoke the snapback mechanism”.

Mike Pompeo said Saturday that all UN sanctions against Iran were “back in effect” under the so-called snapback provision in the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, formally named the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Pompeo said last month that he triggered a 30-day process at the council leading to the return of UN sanctions on Iran on Saturday evening that would also stop a conventional arms embargo on Tehran from expiring on Oct. 18.

But 13 of the 15 Security Council members say Washington’s move is void because Pompeo used a mechanism agreed under a 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, which the United States quit in 2018.

Washington argues it triggered the return of sanctions – known as “snapback” – because a UN resolution that enshrines the pact still names it as a participant. Diplomats say few countries are likely to reimpose the measures lifted under the 2015 deal.

Chinese Embassy in Suriname Urges Pompeo to Stop Smearing China

TEHRAN (Iran News) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo should stop smearing and spreading rumors about China, the Chinese Embassy in Suriname said in a statement on Friday.

Pompeo during his working visit to Suriname made provocative remarks on China-related issues, questioning Chinese companies’ investment aim in the country.

Under the pretext of “democracy,” “freedom” and “human rights,” Pompeo leveled groundless accusations and attacks against China, maliciously instigated China’s relations with other countries, the statement said, CGTN reported.

The Chinese Embassy in Suriname voiced strong opposition against Pompeo’s remarks, adding that the Chinese government has always required overseas Chinese companies to abide by local laws and regulations, and to run business in an open, clean and transparent manner.

According to the statement, China and Suriname has yielded fruitful results through close cooperation in various field, which has set a good example among countries having different political systems, different cultures and geographical sizes.

“China firmly adheres to the principles of mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation in developing relations with Latin American countries including Suriname,” said the statement.

The embassy also believes that Surinamese people from all walks of life will make their own correct judgment.

The statement stressed that “any attempt to sow discord between China and Suriname is doomed to fail.”

The embassy called on Pompeo to respect facts and truth and abandon arrogance and prejudice.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Dismisses Pompeo Tweets

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh dismissed the tweets of Pompeo on Iran’s internal affairs as a psychotic reaction to Washington’s successive defeats.

In a statement on Wednesday, the spokesman described Mike Pompeo recent tweets about Iran’s internal issues, which were filled with anger at Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, as a psychotic reaction caused by disappointment and depression following the US Department of State’s successive defeats and as an attempt to cover up those failures.

“Unfortunately, the US state secretary, who is witnessing the failure of the policy of maximum pressure and unilateralism on Iran more and more, is attempting desperately to retrieve part of the lost prestige of Trump’s regime by claiming to advocate human rights,” he said.

The spokesman underlined that the US government itself has the darkest human rights record as there is no single day without protests from the American people against violence, discrimination and racism.

“In spite of the dire situation inside the US, Mr Pompeo, who has received training in fabrication, deception and lying at the CIA, is seeking to divert the public opinion’s attention based on ‘the bigger the lie, the more it will be believed’,” Khatibzadeh added.

His comments came after Pompeo slammed the execution of Iranian convict Navid Afkari as a despicable act, calling for consequences for the execution.

The US state secretary claimed that world leaders have taken the first step to counter Iran and have cancelled Zarif’s European visits.

Zarif was due to visit Germany this week, but cancelled his visit for logistical problems.

Pompeo Indicates US Ambassador to China Is Leaving Post

TEHRAN (Iran News) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo indicated early Monday that US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad was leaving his post.

Pompeo did not give a reason for US Ambassador to China, 73 years old and a former governor of Iowa, leaving china at a time when relations are strained, notably over bilateral trade, allegations about information security, and the coronavirus pandemic. The US embassy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“I thank Ambassador Terry Branstad for his more than three years of service to the American people as US Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China,” Pompeo tweeted, Reuters reported.

“Ambassador Branstad has contributed to rebalancing US-China relations so that it is results-oriented, reciprocal, and fair,” he added, without explicitly saying Branstad was going.

Citing an unnamed source, the CNN news network reported that Branstad was likely to leave before the November US presidential election.

The Chinese foreign ministry has in the past described Branstad as an “old friend of the Chinese people”.

He first forged ties with President Xi Jinping several decades ago when Xi visited Iowa.

Last week, the United States and China traded attacks about who best understands press freedom after the official People’s Daily refused to publish an article by Branstad.

China’s foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told a daily news conference that China had not received a notice about Branstad leaving.

Five Iranian captains sanctioned for delivering fuel to Venezuela

TEHRAN (Iran News) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday that the Trump administration was imposing sanctions on five Iranian ship captains who had delivered gasoline to Venezuela.

Speaking to reporters, Pompeo also said the United States continues to support Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido. Washington that seeks the ouster of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and most other Western governments have recognized Guaido as the legitimate leader of the OPEC nation, Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, based on another report by the National, “These captains, who led five Iranian flagged tankers — Clavel, Petunia, Fortune, Forest and Faxon — delivered gasoline and gasoline components to Venezuela, and are now added to OFAC’s Specially Designated National and Blocked Persons List (SDN List),” the US Treasury Department said in a statement on Wednesday.

The sanctions come as Iran supplied 1.5 million barrels of fuel to Venezuela last month amid a collapse of refinery operations and tightening sanctions by the United States that has made it more difficult for Venezuela to obtain fuel on international markets.

All of the five vessels reached Venezuela under military escort in defiance of draconian American sanctions targeting both Iran and Venezuela, said a report by Press TV.

Iran’s fuel shipments drew the ire of the US. American officials said Washington was considering responses to Iran’s move, prompting Tehran to warn of retaliatory measures if the US causes any problem for the Venezuela-bound tankers.

The United States then threatened stiff sanctions against foreign governments, shipping firms, seaports, and insurers if they aid the Iranian tankers.

US has already imposed sanctions against the Islamic Republic Shipping Lines (IRSL) and the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC).

In a post on its website on Tuesday, the US military’s Southern Command said the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze had sailed in an area outside Venezuela’s territorial waters in what it called a “freedom of navigation operation.”

It further claimed that the operation took place within the area the Venezuelan government “falsely claims to have control over.”

However, there was no indication of any confrontation.

Pompeo threatens ICC for probing Israel war crimes

TEHRAN (Iran News) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday warned the International Criminal Court against asserting jurisdiction over Israel, saying the United States will “exact consequences” for any “illegitimate” investigations against the Zionist regime.

The ICC’s prosecutor’s recent decision to accept Palestine as a state with the status to file a complaint could lead to a potential investigation into war crimes by Israel in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to reports.

“The International Criminal Court is a political body, not a judicial institution. This unfortunate reality has been confirmed yet again by the ICC prosecutor’s attempt to assert jurisdiction over Israel, which like the United States, is not a party to the Rome Statute that created the court,” read Pompeo’s statement.

“As we made clear when the Palestinians purported to join the Rome Statute, we do not believe the Palestinians qualify as a sovereign state, and they therefore are not qualified to obtain full membership, or participate as a state in international organizations, entities, or conferences, including the ICC,” claimed Pompeo, who was in Israel for a whirlwind visit on Wednesday.

“The United States reiterates its longstanding objection to any illegitimate ICC investigations. If the ICC continues down its current course, we will exact consequences,” Pompeo said.

This week, letters signed by senators and US House representatives from both parties urged Pompeo to prevent International Criminal Court prosecution against Israel, and an Israeli delegation traveled to the United States earlier this year for talks on coordinating a joint US-Israeli campaign against the ICC, Israeli television reported.

An Israeli official said the trip was timed to coincide with the ICC’s approval of a war crimes probe in Afghanistan, as American reaction over the decision would underline that both the US and Israel have a common interest in opposing the court.

The ICC probe in Afghanistan will include investigations of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed by Afghan government forces, the Taliban, American troops, and US foreign intelligence operatives.

Fatou Bensouda, the ICC’s chief prosecutor, announced in December she had concluded her half-decade long preliminary examination of the situation in Palestine and has a “reasonable basis to believe that war crimes were committed” by the Israel forces.

At the same time, she acknowledged that The Hague may not have the jurisdiction to deal with the issue. Hence, she asked for a ruling by three ICC judges to determine the scope of the court’s territorial jurisdiction.

The prosecutor herself believes Palestine, which acceded to the Rome Statute, the court’s foundational document, in early 2015, is enough of a state for the purposes of transferring criminal jurisdiction over its territory to the court.
