]]> Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday rejected as “baseless” and “ridiculous” the recent anti-Iran allegations by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who has said Tehran is using its embassies to plot terrorist attacks in Europe.

“The embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran work within the framework of international conventions,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi, Mehr reported.

Qassemi further said Pompeo made the remarks while history is filled with evidence of U.S. embassies’ espionage and illegal actions in numerous countries.
