<p>Maadi co-starred with Kristen Stewart in U.S. director Peter Sattler’s debut “Camp X-Ray” in 2014 and collaborated in Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya’s action-adventure “Last Knights” in 2015.</p>
<p>He also starred in “About Elly” and “A Separation” by Iranian prominent director Asghar Farhadi. He received the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin International Film Festival for his role in “A Separation” in 2011.</p>
<p>Maadi also appeared in “The Night Of”, a 2016 American crime drama television miniseries, broadcast on HBO.</p>
<p>Mahdavian is the director of acclaimed dramas “Standing in the Dust”, about Ahmad Motevasselian, an IRGC commander who was kidnapped by the Zionist regime in 1982 in Lebanon and “The Midday Event”, a political drama that features the terrorist atrocity of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization in Iran of the 1980s.</p>
<p>He has also directed “Lottery”, about trafficking Iranian women to Arab countries, and “Blood Trap”, a sequel to his political drama “Midday Event”.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">Peyman Maadi was picked as best director for his Iranian drama “Bomb, a Love Story” at the 6th International Bosphorus Film Festival in Istanbul, the organizers announced on Saturday.</p>
<p>Maadi is also the writer of the screenplay for the film, whose story is set in 1988 at the height of the Iran-Iraq war as Tehran is bombed relentlessly. The days that pass are full of foreboding, and yet love, affection, hope and life itself manage to sweep away the fear of death from those surrounded by it.</p>
<p>The festival also honored Iranian director Babak Jalali with the jury special award for his latest film “Land”.</p>
<p>“Screwdriver” by Palestinian director Bassam Jarbawi received the Golden Dolphin for best film.</p>
<p>Kushtrim Hoxha was named best actor for his role in Ismet Sijarina’s drama, “Cold November”, a co-production between Albania and Serbia.</p>
<p>Valeria Bertuccelli won the award for best actress for her role in “The Queen of Fear” that she co-directed with Fabiana Tiscornia.</p>
<p>Iranian director/writer Parviz Shahbazi who won the award for best screenwriter at last year’s festival, was the president of the jury this year. Belçim Bilgin, Iris Ng and Marc Baschet were members of the panel.</p>
